Banishment Empty
PostSubject: Banishment   Banishment EmptyThu Nov 10, 2011 6:30 pm

It was a morning like any other as Tohrm entered the city of Myth Drannor again after having been away for quite some time, eager to see his lover and his child, but before he could descend to the inn, he was escorted to the barracks by two of the Coronals personal guard, with no other explanation than he was requested at a meeting.

Upon arriving, he was met by the scene of Wythran standing by Auryne in the barracks, guards posted around the room and the Coronal, watching him coolly. The atmosphere was tense as he stepped forward on command, offering a courteous bow and portraying his puzzlement on the situation. He was then shown a letter, apparently of his hand writing, incriminating him of treason against Myth Drannor, by selling out the Keeper, supposedly when Wythran was captured. After debating inside the room with the Coronal, who acted coldly towards him and Wythran who in a calculated fashion, called his suggestions and was eventually agreed. All the while, Auryne standing apprehensively, watching, worried as he was questionned.

After the words were settled, Tohrm was declared banned from Myth Drannor, as a security threat, until proof of his innocence arose to re assess the situation. He was to investigate the happenings himself, and inaction to find proof would lead to the conclusion that he was guilty, the crime of treason, and the sentence, execution.

He stood outside of the barracks, grumbling profusely at what had transpired inside, awaiting Auryne to come out so that he could say his goodbye's to her and his daughter at the inn. She later met him, she herself looking angry and upset herself. Once they reached the inn they spoke in one of the side rooms.
Many quiet words were exchanged before they got Lyrisia. Both of them could be seen leaving the inn later with tears in their eyes.

At the boatman, they paused, looking at eachother silently for some time, then Tohrm leant down to kiss Auryne, then his daughter, exchanging a few quiet words; smiling sadly and weakly to Auryne. As she started to cry again, he promised he would do what he could to fix what had gone wrong, clutching her close to him, before finally turning and getting onto the boat.

He forced himself not to look back as his banishment from Myth Drannor hung heavy on his shoulders, and the shadow of possible death lingered. After leaving the boat, he strode doggedly to the Oak, his eyes still red from the experience, thoughts of his family flashing through his mind,
Thoughts of their uncertain future...

*After parting with Tohrm by the boatmen, Auryne was seen sitting silently weeping by Dantons wagon for some time... gazing out to the waters of the lake as tears streamed down her face.
Alataire was seen joing her for some time until she rose again and went back into the city to be alone with her daughter.*

Relaxing comfortably in the Oak is the Blackguard, Justin. He had his feet propped up on one of the tables, crossed at the ankles, and was sipping an ale.

A small, malicious smile formed on his lips as he heard of the banishment.

"What a fool..."

Taeron would walk up to Auryne as she wept and just place his hand on her shoulder. Even though being rather clumsy at these things, he would still try to comfort her at least a bit. Show her that he's there for her and her child.

Even if she asked him to leave, he would watch her from a distance. As a statue of a silent guardian...

The Coronal does not speak much to the Keeper of the incident, nor to the Deputy.

But she puzzles over it at night. Tohrm had not seemed to understand the seriousness of the charges, which was a problem in itself. The letter had been highly incriminating.

But it was possible, and indeed answered some questions, if the human had been set up by the Zhent.

It was impossible to know the truth.

An old man with white hair can be seen around the camp. When hearing the news he just smokes on his pipe. "Fools."

Tyndal upon hearing of the resolution mutters something about the Defenders screwing up again. Why, he wonders, did they not ask for Tohrm to fill out some innocent form, and determine from it whether the letter was his? Why if they believe it was his, did they let him wander off to determine his own innocence -- or to join those he had served all along?

Tyndal then ruminates on Myre confessing openly to her conversations with enemies, though no specific evidence of actual treason arose, and receiving execution for it. Here, Tohrm actually and intentionally acted as a spy, and he gets banishment? But then maybe that is just more honest, Tyndal further reflects, given the Keeper's proclivities in such matters.

Treason demands execution, Tyndal states darkly, but our kin seem to lack resolve in everything, so why not in this. After taking a deep breath, however, he decides the matter is closed, and that those who made the decision will do as they will, and that it has little to do with his own work -- save that their errors so often make more of it for him. He then wanders off to attend to his own affairs.

Tracker blinks at the news of Tohrm and blinks again. His head drops as he whispers a soft prayer and looks out the window of his room to the boat. He can be found looking out at the boat from time to time and even watched from a distance as Tohrm said his goodbyes to Auryne and their child.

"What are they going to think of me then if such a honorable defender is a supposed traitor?"

He clips his belt together and makes sure Hond Ave'ress and Ferivan are secure at his sides.

"Guess I'll just have to do my job and make sure that doesn't happen."
