I was recently detained under the charges of not paying taxes. As the Sergeant at Arms could not tell me, nor could manage to find, the towns Book Keep in charge of taxation, I wish to ask you since you are likely more knowledgeable of the Administrative running of the town whom I should contact in reguards to paying overdue taxes, as well as in paying future taxes so that your men's time, the cities food, and my time are not waisted in the future. You can leave written reply at the Skull, or I will gladly appear before you, whichever you prefer...though it is likely you will prefer written reply as your time is valuable.

dear captain, i am woefully regretful that i must ask that our little agreement come to an unfortunate end, the situation regarding my ability to enter myth drannor has changed and i can no longer gain access due to their boatman dissaprearing, without my ability to remain in contact with those whome find refuge there i can no longer aid you with further information.

however this does not mean that i would cease my work with the zhentarim, I hope that you would perhaps find better use for me if you see fit.

A dwarf named Dragus requests a personal audience with you. I have known this dwarf personally for some time and his ambitions has suited our cause in the past. I believe he is of honorable reputation -- as far as dwarves go at least.

I think you'll find his proposal most interesting indeed, sir.

Greetings Captain Westscar,

I write to you because Sergeant Fidhliss has give my company an ultimatum. It began with the beating of an overly emotional woman named Desrah Asher. Seeking abuse, she instigated Sergeant Fidhliss to beat her down. One of my men, a halfling named Dudo, was traveling past when he saw the two. In the night he made out a hooded man assaulting a woman who was screaming, and mistook it for rape. He attacked Sergeant Fidhliss thinking him a run of a mill rapist. Sergeant Fidhliss was injured but survived the attack, and declares us barred from Shadowdale under the threat of imprisonment until we return with Dudo's head.

Dudo has gone into hiding and I'm not aware of his current location. We apologize for the attack and misunderstanding and would be willing to compensate in other ways. I would like to point out that Desrah Asher instigated all this in an emotional fit. There has been no loss of life thus far and punishment from such would be unnecessary. The Griffon's Mane can still provide services to the Zhentarim, and have in the past. We will continue our search for Dudo for the time being.

I am a divine servant of The Black Hand, travelling from the Sword Coast as a part time adventurer I have come to Shadowdale to lend my full support to Zhentarim interests in the area and hope that I can hone my powers under your honourable command. Right now I am a novice, but I will gladly pledge myself to Zhentarim training regimens and carry out any task you see fit in His name or yours.

Greetings Captain as I have stated to a few of your men, I have watched the Zhentarim for some time now and am Interested in joining in your cause....I have little love for the natives of Myth Drannor and those who would oppose you and your men...I can be found in the safeties of Shadowdale or in the immediate area....often I can be reached at the campfire.

I am a firm believer in the law and that without proper use the the unwashed masses would be in chaos or revolt. i am a cleric of bane with some training in more conventionsl fighting i can bring both support and a mace to combat for you and your men.

Captain Westcar,

Thank you for taking time to read this. As you might remember, I sent a letter asking for a Relief Effort to operate within Shadowdale. It has been many months since then and I have redesigned many of my goals for this region, which I believe may be more agreeable to you.

To start, life is still becoming more desperate for the locals and it won't be long before they can't even work the fields. I wish permission to start a small company that creates, transports, and loans various farming tools to the common folk. This not only helps them but it keeps them working the fields, which I believe the Zhentarim may like. It might even help increase their harvests to have proper tools as well since they, themselves, couldn't replace.

If given permission to move forward with this, then I'll see to acquiring the iron, hiring the local blacksmiths (if any are available), and putting in money to purchase several wagons (this will be used to securely move the tools around, without theft). I'm also willing to hire a few people to escort the wagons and ensure further security for the supplies.

When you have a reply ready, please drop it at the Temple of Chauntea. I spend some of my time there helping treat the wounded that come in. I sincerely hope you find my idea acceptable.
