| *written in a clear strong hand*
Dear sirs of the Akh'Velahr,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to you as a request for admitance to the Refugee Camp in the outskirts of Myth Drannor. I understand that this is a strange request, but once you know who and what I am you will understand.
My name is D'arsuth Fieldsworn, and I am a War Accademy graduate in Strategy and Tactics. I am also a Half Orc. I was raised as a Human, and have no love of the other half of my lineage. I strive to prove myself different than the majority of those with similar heritage, and belive my actions prove me different. I would like a chance to prove myself to be trustworthy enough to at least be allowed into the Refugee camp, and will accept it hapily even if I am under heavy guard the entire time I visit.
As you can see from my ability to write coherently I am far beyond others of similar heritage in my manners and civility. I find my greatest drawback from said heritage is my appearance. I hope to hear from you in a positive maner in the near future.
Signed, D'arsuth Fieldsworn

| He seems civilized. If no one else wants to investigate or meet with him, I will do it. | |

| Actions speak louder than words...the creature must prove itself a dozen times before I will come close to allowing it access to the refugee camp.
What proof is there it wrote the letter?

| Karovir only comments: "It is not upon us to decide this anyway. Even if we would agree the Coronal's will stands above it." | |

| *hearing of the letter Ahra would laugh to herself*
As the drow are nice, the orc aren't savages, I doubt they will make the same mistake again as they did with Garok.

| Then I will go and meet with this half-breed. If I see him worthy I will talk to the Cornell and the council myself. I was persecuted from Shadowdale from being an elf, and for no other reason. That is how I ended up here, if we do this and he is not like his orc cousins then we are no better then they are. | |

| This is a request that can only end in tears and blood. Even if this half orc were a paladin of helm it erases not the problems and strife it will cause many. Have we forgotten the lesson of Garok so soon that we would even consider this?
Celovar your reasoning is folly, you are not form a race of fiends and butchers and the likely offspring of rape and torment as most if not all half orc abominations. No half orcs, no half drow whats next half demons from the abyss?!
I would never support or agree to such an act as letting in a half orc or half drow into this place. You wonder why we are questioned by people?
*said behind closed doors later*
Should this be considered and approved of, my resignation shall follow at the break of dawn the following day for I could not in good faith serve any commander, or council or coronal who would deign to revisit these fel things upon the city yet again.
I won't hide Celovar I'm rather shocked and revolted by your words on the matter and your likening of your banishment form the lands of an enemy with the orc. An elf should know better. Orcs should be met at the point of a sword or arrow, not with open arms ever. I'll follow no one into battle that uses the twisted logic of Meriam, or lacks any sense when dealing with these monsters.
Why we are mocked and seen as not defenders of the people, but a flock of fools and inept guardsmen....even considering a half orc after all the problems with their vile race may be a good place to start. Some of you wonder again why we are not trusted, but entertaining such folly as this for even a moment is why even though those such as Nolramin are wrong, they are also in part right in their criticisms of us.

| I dont give a dam what people think. I joined up because in Shadowdale I am treated like I am some butcher or demon. If we are supposed to be a city of good that welcomes those in need and enemy's of our enemy's then I think he should be given a chance. Hes not Garok and he may act differently. Your judgement is folly if you judge all individuals as one race. I dont like orcs, my father was killed by orcs if you must know. But hes not an orc, hes got orc blood. If his mother was raped by an orc why should the child be punished? You show ignorance and fear of the reactions of the people. They will never respect us no matter what we do. And if this turns out to be a good man and he is not allowed in, then I call all whom say otherwise fools. I will NOT treat others as bad as the Zhents treated me without knowing if they really are. I will not be the same as them.
This is an if and a big if that he turns out to not be a spy and a good man that I will defend him, otherwise butcher it like any other orc. I just want to give him a chance. I dont stand up for the son of an orc, I stand up for a man that might be good enough to overcome his bloodline.
