| She sighs, "I wasn't finished. I watched over her, tended her wounds, cared for her as a friend would. Would you rather I kept her prisoner, left her broken enough she couldn't leave of her own choosing? If I acted wrongly in such, then say so." Having said her piece, she makes no further attempt to impede him.
She looks to Tonan silently asking him to talk some sense into the very large... rather angry man, especially since Arjay means to follow.

| "Listen to Tonan," Cadence says softly. "I really don't know you, nor what you were to her, but if you care for at all then don't do this. A pointless death isn't going to honour her memory, and it will be pointless. Whomever you're after isn't going to come out and fight you in honourable combat. If he was honourable at all, Krysdan would still be alive. We already know this, so you dieing to prove it serves no purpose."
"Let your anger fade, and think about this logically. Standing and shouting at the front gate will get their attention, but I sincerely doubt they're going to go tell this man you're there at all. It's more likely they'll just kill you."

| Overhearing the conversation and knowing Vincent the way that he does...he places a hand on his shoulder and says only a few words.
"Take the ladys luck with you this day, and use your skill to its fullest."

| She looks to Cadence..
They would have a damn hard time killing him. They know he comes for him. They will be waiting. We will be there to even the odds. We have fought this fight before. We will fight it again. So either stand aside and let us be on our way or join us in this fight.
She turns back to Vincent.
We are ready when you are

| "Fight well then, and may Tempus smile on you." As he walks away, he mutters quietly to Arjay. | |

| Cadence nods slowly, then backs up a few paces. "Sorry, rushing in to wait for some guy outside a highly fortified garrison with newly built siege weapons and a standing army with only a hand full of people, highly skilled though they may be, is not my idea of a good strategy. Best of luck with that though."
With that, she turns and walks away.

| The Red Lady will guide us. Strategy will be on our side. Our plans will be laid out and we will be victorious.
She smiles with a confidence in her eyes.

| Vincent let's out a heavy sigh, standing in front of all those who gathered. For a moment he stands quietly in thought, attempting to balance everything at risk and what he's attempting to succeed. Finally after some time he looks to all those around him, several emotions mixing within his gaze.
"My acts today may seem foolish, and outright stupid.. But I've been in these lands for so long, watched this tyrant ruin my life time and time again...Hurting, torturing and killing those I love and have sworn to protect..The only thing I can ask is how long will we let it happen? How many more will have to see the death by their terror filled grasp? I've lost my best friend, loved ones, and now my sister.."
His fists clench tightly around his greatsword handle as a few tears of rage and pain swell.
"It's enough in my eyes, and it's time for me to do what I can to attempt to stop this evil plague.. If this bastard can't grow his own courage to combat me once and for all over all these years, then the people will finally realize what cowards the Zhentarim really are.. I cannot deny that my death will be secured, but I will take down any evil infested human that opposes me in taking him down."
After giving his small speech he just stands there looking between each person gathered around him.
"Call it suicide, but I see it as an honorable death to try and stop what several have attempted over the years.."

| The heavily armoured woman approaches the group a soft smile on her face as she sees Vincent..but the smile vanishes quickly as she hears the words spoken by the group..she stops the small boy at her side before he can run over to his father. The boy looks up to her..confused..so the woman lowers her voice and speaks to him in a soft tone.
"Jacob..i know you spoke all the time about seeing your father again.. but this has to wait a little bit longer.. for it seems he is about doing his duty as the watcher expect from him..and me. I know its hard to understand for boy..but duties comes first for a paladin..always. So please go home.. and wait there for us, should you feel scared or need something please go to the orphanage..the teacher will take care of you then."
Zidanja kisses the cheek of the boy and sends him home before getting closer to the group, she nods to all gathered especially Mara, Karovier and Aray. She remains quiet as she tries to gather information about what has happened.. but her eyes keeps locked on Vincent mostly. When he looks at her a couraging but grim smile would tell him she supports what he is about to do.

| Arjay watched Vincent with a level gaze as he spoke, his sense finally overriding his guilt. "No, Vincent," he said, his voice quiet but firm. "You've just as good as said that this is an attempt that we shouldn't make today."
"If you have a way of finding him, if you can get him to come out of that city he's cowering in somehow... then that's just as well. But if you plan on sitting outside that city and letting them send wave after wave of soldiers until you're dead, you aren't doing your duty. You're letting your grief control you and twist you into destroying yourself. Krysdan is dead. We can't change that. But you still have a duty to your family, to your son, and a duty to the living is stronger than any duty toward the dead. You ask how many more he will take away? Ask yourself what it will do to your son to lose even more from his life."
"You want him? Then let's make a plan, see it through, and do this right. But rushing blindly in while grief and rage are ruling is not the way. Doing something that you know is likely to get you killed... is that the last example you want to leave your son with?"

| Mylanis, having been out for a walk, spots the group and walks in closer, when overhearing the speech, she'd frown and add her thoughts.
If you go seeking battle in the name of grief and revenge, then I would not blame you. But I'll warn you that such actions often lead to a bloodbath, rather than an honorary battle.
A person that gives in to emotions such as grief, will fall into a pit only filled with darkness, I would advise you to let this unfortunate death serve you in a more honorary way, let her remain a symbol of good, rather than dishonor her death with an unnecessary bloodbath. One in which you, yourself, might throw your life away, and leave your son with a memory of a father that left for battle, not on the grounds of the god he served.
As Arjay said, if you want to do this, at least do it right. And either fall in battle, knowing that you did so honorably. Or come home to your wife and son, having done the deed the right way.

| Mara looks at the others.
Arjay is right Vincent. Lets get a plan together and do this right. Lets do this right for Krysdan. Don't let her death be in vain or for naught.

| Karovir who actually had no idea what was going on and only saw that Vincent was quite upset followed him along and overheard all the conversations until they all stop and after everyone has said his part he finally speaks:
"I have no idea what exactly is going on here but from your talking I gathered that Krysdan is dead which saddens me deeply though you probably can't see it and you are going to take revenge on one of those cowardly fake Banites in Shadowdale? Fidheliss if I am not mistaken. At this point I could start holding a lecture about how taking revenge won't make you feel better but those speeches are really annoying. Justice has to be served. Even followers of Bane have honor and should be able to fight a duel but I wouldn't rely on it in Shadowdale. I have never heard of him fighting a one on one fight. Furthermore he always seems to avoid a fight unless the enemy is outnumbered. What do you expect of someone who kills a woman to harm a man he is too afraid of to face him directly? So I will go with you and make sure you will return home alive."

| Vincent grumbles softly in frustration, understanding their reasoning yet at the same time indecisive of what he should do. The large armored knight begins to pace in the middle of the gathered group in thought, fingers drumming against his greatsword handle and his gaze set upon the note clenched in his other hand. After pacing for some moments he looks to his son and wife exhaling heavily. Finally he turns to the gathered group speaking calmly.
"Most of you gathered can share my pain about watching people with good hearts die to the hand of evil and tyranny.. And over the years I've been here, with all of you we've always spoke of planning to end what is going on..Yet it seems we've made little to no progress, and the grasp of evil continues to tighten on these lands.. How much planning and waiting must we do? I feel as if by the time anything actually happens, it'll be too late..Or already is.."
After speaking he takes a moment to just breathe as he looks between each person and then finally down to the note reading it once more, only making him crumple it into his hand with a fist.
"Fidheliss will die, or I will die trying to stop him.. I will not go for him tonight nor alone... But I will not wait much longer before acting, so let us start planning to bring this tyrant down.."
Finally Vincent tosses the note to Arjay with a look of great pain and disturbance before turning to depart the elven city.
"Thank you all for helping me and bringing me to reason, though I just do hope in return you understand my wishes and frustration.. A night alone to clear my head is needed now..Helm guard you all."
The knight then walks off outside the city walls for a patrol and a cool night to help ease his mind.

| As the paladin leaves Karovir just nods and watches him walk off not following him. Instead he just says:
"Soooo I guess the heat cooled down and we don't go to kick butts."
He then looks around at the rest of the crowd:
"I would like to know what this note says exactly and who delivered it."

| Arjay read the note and paled, then looked to Zidanja. "Go with him," he said quietly, "He shouldn't be alone right now." Then he showed Karovir the note as he went on. "And we're thinking with our heads, not our swords, Karovir. If you can't, walk behind someone who will." | |

| Karovir just smirks at that and answers before reading the note:
"Your heads? You know I always wondered where exactly your head is, Arjay. But instead of going deeper into that topic I will just do my duty."
He reads the note and rubs his beard grumbling silently. The people who know him for some time would recognize it as a rather angry grumbling.
"So who delivered the note?"

| "My head is in the place where the important matter is keeping people alive. Pity that's not where your 'duty' lies as well," Arjay said as he headed back toward the city to see to other matters. | |

| "Yes, and your brain is between your legs. Giving silly comments and then running away is all you can instead of being of any help at all." Karovir comments and shakes his head. Then he looks at the others: "I guess I will have to ask Vincent who delivered the note since no one of you seems to know anything." | |

| Zidanja would simply shake her head on Arjays request.
No he needs some time alone now..its like with the dead of Lanius..he will be fine..and he wont do anything stupid..i hope.. if he doesn't return within the next day i will look for him.
She offers everyone a nod and a "Helm may watch over you" before she makes her way home, her face pale because of the things she just heard. All the way back to the house she clenches her fist tightly, expressing her feelings this way.
