A cloaked elf at the boatman

Finishes the flower he was carving, a delicate rose, that he puts down beside him with care and picks another pice of wood from a small pile on the ground.

I do know a bit about fishing. I used to go with my father from time to time. She would smile at remembering. She looks at the rose carving. Going to someone special eh? She would chuckle. Found you a pretty young thing eh? She would rib him a bit about it.

Grumble-mutters as he looks at the rose. It ain't going t' noone. Haven't had a relationship for over 200 years, n' it just aint gonna happen.. Getting too old anyroad grumbles a bit. N' my ways tend t' scare em away.. Sides.. T' rose was just inside t' block of wood.. I just found it... Takes off a few chunks of wood on the piece he is holding. Why don't ya take it.. Takes off two more chunks and finds a smaller knife with a grumble. T' kids will ruin it anyroad.

Now this. Takes up the piece he was carving.. this they'll like. The piece of wood is starting to look a lot like a horse.

She smiles Thank you its beautiful. And yes the children will love that. You will have to come to the orphanage with me soon.

Some day perhaps.. aye. Nods a bit. How many are there? migh see if I can catch enough for everyone t' get some.

Well there is more now with the ones from Shadowdale. I would say 20 or more. They are good kids. She would smile.

Grumbles and shrug. Wouldn't know.. most kids are like kids are I guess.. N' with 20 of them.. I'll need help with t' fishing. Who's taking care of em anyroad? He looks at her.

They have a head mistress that takes care of them along with a cook and I believe a grounds keeper. The head mistress is a lovely and caring woman. Its what those kids need. And we need to go fishing soon. She smiles looking to the carved rose.

Mutters a bit as he puts down the piece he was working on. I better get preparing for some fishing then, eh?.. I'll need t' make a rod.. unless ya know where t' get hold of one.. n' some bait.

Where do ya think would be best.. I think t' area where ya wanted t' build would hold quite some fish. looks at her then grumbles a bit. I'll make t' rod on t' way. what else do we need?

Takes out a small wooden box from a pocket in his cloak and opens it.. looks the content over and grumbles. We'll need t' get by a hen or pheasant on t' way as well... I need t' remake these hooks. The books contains a small amount of hooks, where the feathers once tied upon them are more or less gone, only leaving the twine that once kept them together.

She would nod a bit. I'm sure we can find a pheasant or hen somewhere along the way. I'm sure we can a couple of rods somewhere. Its been a long time since I fished and I'm sure I'll be terrible at it at first. You might be able to teach me a few things. she would chuckle.

I'm sure ya'll be just great.. N' I would gladly teach a anything I know bout' it.. gurmbles a bit. First lesson. Never rely on catchin' ya lunch.. So.. Lets fetch somewhat t' eat before going eh? Mutters a bit as he gets up and walks inside.. after a few moments he comes out with a small basket, grumbling. He looks at the door to the inn with a small frown muttering. I just wanted it packed so I could get in my sack.. grumbles. but no.. no no no.. mutters. it should come in a basket grumbles mutters as he walks up to Mara.

Ya ready t' go? looks at her. T' serving lass gave me a basket with all sorts of things. Shakes head with a grumble and looks at the basket. Ya know t' lass.. cause as I mentioned ya, she started putting t' stuff in a basket instead of a bag as I asked her t' Mutters Not very practical Grumbles.

She would look at him then laugh. Oh my...she thinks its a date. That ol' bitty knows I'm betrothed just because she don't like Tae.... she shakes her head. Yes I'm ready to go. . She heads towards the boatman.

Grumbles a bit as he follows her. This'll only make people talk. rolls his eye. remind me t' somewhat in her food.. upset stomach.. alway a good laugh. grumble chuckles then rolls his eye and shakes his head. She's a gossip, aint she? Soon I'll have Tae standing over my chest, swinging a weapon like a madman... His mouth foaming, eyes reddish. should have stayed in t' woods. grumbles.

Pfft let them talk. Tae ain't been around and don't know if he ever will be. If me going on a picnic is gonna cause some gossip.....we should really get the gossip mongers going. She would laugh quite hard.

I'm not really a fan of gossip.. grumbles. it ain't what they say about it.. mutters. it's what they whisper n' if that reaches Taes ears.. he would be a fool not t' react. But.. this ain't gonna ruin a day of fishing. weather is perfect.. lets see if there's any fish.. Jumps into the boat.

She would laugh. Luckily Tae would come to me first and ask about the rumors. And of course I would tell him the truth. I think he would get a laugh out of it.

Shakes head with a grumble. If ya say so.. Still gossip n' rumors. grumble mutters and is clearly annoyed as he ties a flie with a few feathers he found while he mumbles something about food and upset stomach.

She laughs and pats him on the back. Quit your grumbling and let's get to fishing. Your gonna scare the fish with your grumbles. . She sits and enjoys the day and the fishing.

Grumbles a bit as he rolls up his pants and walks out in the stream, walking in the shallow waters, he takes out a small fly and ties it to a thin thin line that he attaches to a very flexible rod. looking over the stream, he spots a fish that surfaces to take a fly, in a few swings with the rod, his own fly lands on the water just in front of the fish, which emerges and misses, another swing and the fish once again emerges and gets hooked. hand landing the fish, Amar turns towards the spot where Mara sits, with a crooked smile he goes to sit by her side. Now.. Go give it a try. turns the rod over.

Takes the rod and waits for a bite. Then she laughs. Your such a grumbler. I don't know who's worse you, Tae or Karovir. Guess I enjoy being around grumblers She starts to get a bite on the line.

Grumbles. Life just ain't giving any reason t' walk 'round with a goofy smil on ya face. Grumbles. N' Karovir always was worse. Flicks a rock out in the water where her line is. then chuckles with a crooked smile.

She would elbow him. Hey!! That was a good size fish on the line. Now we gotta start over!.
