A Group of Comrades explores the Crypts in the Old Skull Tor

*The High Harvestmistress leads a group of intrepid adventurers, after a terrible battle in North Shadowdale, to explore the Crypts in the Old Skull Tor and try find clues to help them defeat a Great Danger. They don't have much time, night is comming and the Shadow Assassin will return to continue his Master's terrible plan. Will Shadowdale survive such a threat??? The answer lies now in the actions of a few brave companions... facing death... in the heart of darkness.*

Celoril accompanies the High Harvestmistress into the crypts.

Still shaken but still in one piece (lets double check, legs, arms, hands, feet, head, close enough) Rwolf follows Julia to the Crypts.

It had been some time since he had ventured into the crypts, following along side the others. He racked his brains attempting to connect the dots between the clues. "Anyone ever hear of the name Vasham Leonsen before, or it's master Evoleohn?" His voice would echo down the corridor. "... and how will we identify this place of power?"

Gill followed Maya's group at her request... he asked a few times what was going on but was offered no answer in the social chaos. He frowned and hated patrolling these hot caves and smelling the fumes...

Once out, he was told it was but a patrol of practice and rolled his eyes...

Battered, beaten, and bruised Ravossel, and her tiger named Donnleen walk into the Tombs with Julia.

Ravossel, and Donnleen would mainly stay at the back of the group, acting like a type of rear gaurd. Both Ravossel, and Donnleen keep a eye out of any hidden doors, and such.

When some If the walking dead or what ever comes up from be hind. Ravossel would let's loos a maelstrom of Strom Bolts from her Naginata at the attacking foes. (9d6 electricity)

Donnleen would wait be for attacking untill Ravossel goes into full Melee.

While those going in the Crypt were waiting for the Harvestmistress the Creature of Shadow appeared. We ready to fight but after the night before talking first seemed a wise course. In short I learned the point he plans for the portal. He claims his masters purpose is to destroy the Shades and the return to the plane of Shadow. I need to find the Harvestmistress then we must see the Provisional Government, there are choices need be made.

*24 Hours passed, deep in the Crypts the High Harvestmistress finishes the "Hallow Ritual" and attaches a Bless prayer on it, as she had promissed to the City Council, at least for one year they will be safe. Enough time to gather the Material Components for a permanent solution, the "Sanctify Sacred Site Ritual" Chauntea grants to her Clergy.*

Now, lets get out of here and go help our friends outside.

Celoril Hanacae greets Julia at the base of the Old Skull.  

"Greetings, High Mistress of the Harvest.   Little blood was shed in your absence but it was related to personal disagreements rather than to our more important chore.   You seem to be tired but you should hear what we've learned.   I've written down what  think are the most important parts of what we've learned so far."

Celoril hands her a piece of parchment written in a bold hand.   "These things we've learned from Vasham himself.   He's been calm and willing to parlay with us but these things are from him.   He's given no indication that he's lying but we should remember that we have no reason to believe him."

Vasham Leonsen is the name of the ambassador that we've spoken with the last two nights.  He says that his master is named Evoleohm and that this master wants to open a gateway near the Dale of Shadows.   This gateway, or portal, will supposedly link the plane of shadows to a place underneath the Old Skull.    Supposedly there's a power source there that will make the portal permanent.

Vasham says that he's doing this for his master because "It's where I belong and I've paid my price."   We don't know that those words mean and I can't speculate at this time.  

Vasham stated that his master is fighting something called Shades and that something called a Conduit may have already come to the Dale.   He stated that the Shades  won't be able to defy them and that the "vermin"  will be "eradicated once and for all" when Evoleohom has tapped into "enough power sources".

The Conduit may be a leader of the Shades that they seem to be fighting.  

The ritual regarding this power source deep under the Old Skull seems to require peace and quiet.   Vasham has warned that if it's interrupted the ritual might fail and shadow things could spill over into this realm.

Vasham had a companion with him last night.    It was a person that seemed to be known to some of the people who spoke to him.    Your man, Rwolf, seemed to know who he was but didn't name the companion.

I believe that Vasham is going to start to attempt to create this portal under the Old Skull in the next two days.   He wants Shadowdale to promise that it won't interfere with the ritual.

Celoril waits while Julia reads over the rather sketchy report.   When she's finished . . .

"You should also know that your helpers in Shadowdale have a very hard time paying attention.   Vasham had to repeat himself several times because people kept asking who his master is and what he's doing here in the Dale.   I would recommend that this report be made available to anyone who wants to help in this matter.   Vasham seems to have displayed remarkable self control with the adventurers who haven't been listening to him.  I don't know how much longer that will last.

No change were to be noted in either locations so far.

*For two days Julia prays and prepares to fulfill a very rare and special request concerning the problem with the Shadows in North Shadowdale*








Now I'm supposed to perform "Miracles", oh Mother.

Almost half a year has passed since that day and half the ingredients for the permanent ritual have been gathered, the efforts continue.
