*When Ravossel speaks it's in a sing song voice in Dragonic*

It's quite all right, all you have to do is wait and Leo should be around shortly. *Motions about with a hand* Find your self a place to sit, and rest for a bit.. * Ravossel snuggles back up with Donnleen, not wanting to get get up this day.*

Rp summary from in game: Leo met with Ravossel and Rwolf to discuss more about the plague. Being useless at the time and for now, Leo decided to return to Mylanis and Taeron and help them with their task while the Academy is inspecting the taint in the jars.

Garrett makes his way to the dead forest, retrieving a bit of flesh from one of the wandering undead there and then heads to the forest. Upon seeing some of the dark material, he throws the undead flesh into it and watches to see what reaction is caused from it. After recording the results in his leatherbound notebook, he returns to town.

Leo searches for Lhanir and Ravossel. If he finds them he would speak to them. "We were the first voice of the plague, but people chose to ignore our warnings and act only when the damage was inflicted. My sister Maya has been working hard on creating new formula for the cure and created the list of ingredients we need to gather. Spray of the Blight Killer did not work simply because this time we are not facing Slimy Doom, but something else, something that has to do with fiends and parasites. To cure mass of people we need to gather many from this list, but for start making few bottles would be good to see the effect on the infected." Leo would offer copies of the list to Lhanir and Ravossel.

Wormwood
Wormwood is an ugly perennial with a tough, dyspeptic green stalk that grows three feet high and emits regular pale green three-bladed leaves and pale olive flowers come summer. This can be used as herb, food, and as medicine it can be used as digestive agents and to help expel internal parasites and remove poisons like nausea. Search in warm hills and plains.

Basil
A common herb found in nearly every garden (search in Maya's Garden), basil’s rounded leaves and aromatic scent are easily recognized by most folk. It is used most regularly as a cooking spice, but it also works in a hot infusion as a medicine versus internal discomforts.

Dragon’s Blood
Dragon’s blood bark can be peeled off nearly year-round, though a tree should never be stripped beyond one side of its trunk. The resin, if kept out of sunlight, can keep for up to eight months without losing its potency. Seek in the Overgrowth, be careful, there is lot of taint there. Keep it out of sun.

Karan (Myrrh)
Karan is a small brown shrub densely covered in waxy spade-shaped green leaves. The karan wood and its dried leaves are burnt to purify areas, but given its rarity, this is only done in some temples. More often, the leaves are dried out and mixed with the drying resin to create incense, while the fresh resin has also been used as a perfume. Tapping the dark resin and assating it makes it useful for alchemists and wizards in numerous healing and protective devices. Temple of Lathander may have these, if not search try to get it in Free Haven market or search for it in the desert around Free Haven.

Mullein
Mullein grows up to five feet tall on stalks covered in woolly white-green leaves, its flowers growing in a tight spike atop the stalks in midsummer. Mullein flowers and leaves are infused into teas to mediate all manner of stomach and digestive ailments, even gargled to alleviate toothaches. Infused and macerated oils and ointments prove useful against burns and high temperature and the strong odor helps open clogged nasal passages for aid in breathing.

Blackthorn
Blackthorn is a tough, woody bush that grows in tight, impenetrable thickets and hedges, its ovular leaves and tiny white flowers eventually revealing bright blue berries in summer. These berries, when mashed and decocted and preserved as a paste, are used as a medicinal purgative or as a component of herbal restoratives. It is also used for various spells across numerous schools and foci. This herb needs no special preparations or preservations. Blackthorn is a highly adaptable wood and can be found in almost any forest. Blackthorn is anathema to evil outsiders especially fiends and they will not dare to walk forests that is strewn with blackthorn, so, do not seek for it in Shadowdale Woods. Try Lyons Forest.

Wormwood I think I saw some Around Hose of redemption possibly Mullein. *sighs* might as well just search the lands about free haven for Karan.

Maya's cat comes to the woods and jumps in Leo, asking for his attention. There is a message in its neckband. When opened there is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on wrapped paper: "I went to the deserts in Daggerhills and saw full scaled army of the dead around the castle. I cam here to collect very rare herb for creating cure for the plague because it grows here, but with their number growing I feel that place will be corrupt, and we will never be able to save people, if this herb falls under their corruption. It also looks like Free Haven is in danger, and giants already fled the areas. Someone has to stop their spreading in meantime and I am the only one here who can at least try. Mushrooms are with me. I hope you and our friends will join me soon too. We need army to defeat the army. I will hold as much as I can against them. Hurry."

Leo picks up the cat, and snuggles it knowing well that the cat is one of his sister's pets, and here he expresses great love towards the cats, being the Lion of Talisid. Seeing that the cat wants something more, he notices the message in the neckband. Leo opens it and reads it, and the fear for Maya quickly covers his face. "I cannot believe she attacked an army of undead alone." Leo looks at the message trying to figure out what can he do when his spirit guide Sol addresses him as a voice in Leo's head. "Yes she did it ... again." Leo grabs the cat and starts to talk to it "Maya, get out of there right now, we need to gather people and prepare, don't just rush into something like this." The cat may become more upset but Sol would talk to Leo again as Leo returns message to cat and lets her go bring message to Mylanis. Sol: "It is hardly that Maya can hear you now. Nobody can withstand the link with familiar on this distance. I fear that the only way we can help her now is to try to reach her before they do." Leo looks to Ravossel and tells her what is happening with upset tone. "Maya attacked an army of dead in dagerhills, she is trying to prevent the corruption of the land to save the ingredient needed for making the cure for this plague. I need to get her out of there. You should warn people." Leo did not want to waste any more time, with inhuman speed (lions swiftness) he disappears in the woods and moves towards Maya's location, warding himself with divine magic, potions, rods and anything that he has stored in his hat. He hopes that he can reach Maya on time, he runs like a mad Lyon, he probably did not run fast like this since the time when his son was kidnapped by sea hags.

*Ravossel sighs heavly* quick! Go save your sister! I'll tell the ones I see about this this hoard, but most folk now know about it. I'll keep a eye out for the listed herbs. Travel swiftly, and true!

The Plague - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Plague   The Plague - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 11, 2014 3:41 pm

(Belated conclusion. Apologies for tardiness! ADM Mirror is still away for a time.)

To those that would return to the forests north of Shadowdale, it would be apparent that the corruption that had once been spreading across the land had since stopped, and through the efforts of those aiding it as well as Ravossel's dance with the dryads, the lands have slowly begun to flourish and once more regrow over old scars.

Greenery and life begins to sprout in every direction, and the animals protected in the Grove and its nursery have since been returned to the forest and their homes. To those (druids) connected to the land that could have sensed the pain of the forest, it is as if a great breath was taken and released, relaxing all around them as the lands are broken free of the taint.

But to those that have since spoken to the Arch Druidess or her comrades... she is convinced that the devil responsible is not yet gone, and that the sudden disappearance of the corruption is not to be handled lightly, but rather with suspicion. She would also mention that the corruption still yet lives, but not in the land. Rather.. in a few select people who had been touched by it during its spread. She does not pass out any names, but also seems to move about just as actively as during the spread of the taint, occasionally seen heading to Myth Drannor, or simply moving about the Dales as usual.

The desecration has, metaphorically speaking, only encountered the eye of the storm for now.
