From time to time, a small black bat circles the room.

Should Keillyn Kross be present in the room, the bat would perch above her for a time, tilt it's head and seemingly stare at her while she worked before curling up again in a corner of the roofline.

Others might note the bat hovering in front of the bookcase, the alchemy tables, and occasionally performing a low sweep of the floor.

Keillyn wasn't a fan of animals, but to the bat's credit, she wasn't much a fan of anything. She preferred being alone, but if she had to tolerate the company of a bat, she would. Keillyn knew better than to assume it was a normal bat. Mages enjoyed their creatures, and their creatures normally had a higher status than the majority of a mage's company. So when the bat snooped about Keillyn's progress in the workshop, she didn't pay heed to it's existence.

She had already accomplished most of the work. The bookshelves were categorized, the floors were swept. The workbenches were polished, the empty vials organized by size, type and function. Chalk boards that were currently unused were washed down and shown with a fresh dark face just waiting to be marked upon.

The only things left untouched were the works in progress. Mostly. Books left open were now closed and stacked with labeled book marks.

Ice Fractals pg. 374 - Mage Harrison

Fire Enhancement pg. 201 - Mage Theodore

As well as a note taped modestly to the side of a used chalk board, correcting an unfortunate mage's translation.

"Improper use of 'tyn'. See Tome 3452."

The few chores that remained, Keillyn puzzled over. How was she going to get to the top of the rafters and very tall bookshelves to dust?

The Enchantress Shahnaz, can be seen in the workshop spending many hours studying a number of tomes and scrolls.

Any who pay particular attention to the contents may observe that she appears to be researching the casting of a certain powerful illusion spells along with gathering information on casting of a gease spell.

She also searches all available archives for any information on the manifestions of aspects of Cyric.

*Knowing that the White Mage Shahnaz is in Town looking for information about Cyric, Julia sends a novice with a note to contact her.*

Greetings Enchantress Shahnaz,

The House of Plenty has the most complete collection of Tomes and Scrolls about Religion in Shadowdale, if you so wish I'll put them at your disposal,

Hope we can also find time to talk, I think we have some mutual concerns to discuss,

Many Blessings,

High Harvestmistress Julia Navarre

After learning the research the White Mage is looking for, Keillyn compiles a stack of resource material from the workshop, and a separate pile of references she acquired from elsewhere.

She doesn't reveal the sources for the other research. She simply has them set down on the desk and continues about her business.

The Enchantress Shahnaz, notices a new pile of scrolls that seem to have appeared as if from nowhere and smiles. "The Archivist" she says to herself and quietly and nods her head slowly, "she is working out well".

After examining the papers for a time, she heads to the House of Plenty in an attempt to meet up with the High Harvestmistress.

*Julia gave order to the Paladins to allow the White Mage's research in the Library. If they met, Julia would personaly show Shahnaz the more important Religious Tomes and old Scrolls.

At the same time, the High Harvestmistress will spend many hours researching about strange black Ooze, taints, Drow curses, Evil Fey creatures and Horned Devils forms of worship.*

*Since Loremaster Valtore isn't available in the region, Julia asks Aerandir and Kendra to help her with the research, the elf has so much Lore knowledge and the Deputy Mayor is well informed about the facts*

Shahnaz, would wait for The Archivist to return as previously arranged (in game) with any important Religious Tomes and Scrolls that the High Harvestmistress would allow her to borrow for further the research project. If The Archivist was successful in approaching the High Harvestmistress for the books, the White Sage would spend many hours late into the night to study them in depth and obtain as much information as she was able.

Shahnaz, returns to the workshop, with the quarantine lifted, and begins collating some new tomes and scrolls for research. If the Archivist was present she would begin requesting items of interest pertaining to the elemental plane of Fire and the summoning and control of creatures for this plane.

Those who observe the workspace she has created may be able to ascertain that she seems to be studying summoning and control spells for creatures from the fire planes. Closer examination would reveal that she appears to be specifically interested in efreet.

Those passing through the workshop would notice Shahnaz deep in study.

She searches the tomes for any information pertaining to particular disturbances in the weave, she would seek the assistance of The Archivist if she were able to find her. She researches spells which might cause a ripple or fluctuation in the weave if cast, along with anything else she can find that might account for similar, consulting any other Guild mages who cross her path.

The White Sage seems unusually preoccupied about this subject, as if something in particular has disturbed her.

"Hm."

Keillyn pondered staring down at the white sage's notes. She was trying to concentrate, but could not get past the acute mess that had transpired ad-misted the studying. It was like a small beeping noise in her head that cut through her thoughts. She reached down and stacked papers together, hitting them gently against the desk.

"I would assume there would be a text in Myth that could help you. As they are intrinsically linked with the weave, and have a love of that Mythal of theirs. But.." Keillyn trailed off as the desk was set in order. "I did ask around, and I was given some interesting answers."

She fished out a small black book from her pocket and opened it, flipping through the pages and reading out loud.

"I cannot tell you the credibility of these as I do not know the person well enough. A, Malik, of the House of Redemption, suggested a number of causes. They included, portal creation. Artifact creation/destruction. Necromancy, on a large scale mind you. There was also a mention of a force that would drain from the weave for a long period of time, which may, cause a fluctuation. He spoke rather well, but as I said. I do not know how credible an answer these may be."

The Enchantress Shahnaz can be seen in the Workshop reviewing a lage pile of different sized tomes. She pauses occasionally to make some notes on a piece of parchment, her concentration on this task is absolute. Alternating between flicking through pages and making notes. she barely pauses for thought.

The Enchantress begins making many notes on the blackboard. Anyone walking by would see a number of seemingly unrelated words with diagrams and shapes drawn about them connecting them in different ways.

Ring.....Farmer......Soul....Necromancy....Curse......Group......Set.......enchantment......magic jar.....other adventurers......priest.....weary/lack of sleep....

The pile of books she had on the desk have been piled next to the blackboard along with several pieces of parchment containing notes in her own handwriting.
