Reoccupation of Shadowdale

Jonah would clear hanging deaths, and would refer possible poisonings to Laura. If any other children are among the dead, he makes a point to stay by Laura's side while she finishes her spirit-inspection. As he has been forced to too many times in the past few days, he asks her to stay strong.

After the explosion that leveled the twisted tower, Ravossel, and Donnleen mainly stay and watch over shadowdale wood, trying there best to keep the walking dead out of it, and combat any tar oozes that might boil up. Time to time the pair would rest near-ish the northern check point f there's still one, and if there's not one, they would try to find a safe-ish place with in north shadowdale. Any one that may or may watch them, it simply looks like there rest, eating, mending there wounds, or in Ravossel's case sewing up holes, and tears in her clothing from combat.

About every seconded or therd night the pair would head back to Lurue's glade to rest, eat, and heal properly. The nights there not at north shadowdale resting, or at the glade the pair would be at House of redemption. Spending a few hours there trying to figure out why there's so much whiled life about.

Soon Priests and Priestesses of Sune, Hanali Celanil, Sheela Peryroyl and Sharindlar would arrive accompanied by twenty-five Rose Knights all claiming to be from the Temple of Love and Beauty. The clerics would offer healing and grief counselling to the citizens of Shadowdale that needed it, also performing rights for the dead and funerals if needed.

The Rose Knights would take up positions to guard the bodies of the fallen citizens of Shadowdale and the town itself, with the intention of not allowing any defilers near the fallen. Bel would re-appear in town shortly after, and would also take up the task of consoling citizens, though she would frequently be in and out of town, as if her aloof nature.

Upon returning to the town, Kasia seeks a member of the militia and hands him the following letter, requesting that it be given to Taeron urgently.
The letter bears a wax seal depicting an image of a bird of prey.

Commander Taeron of the Shadowdale Militia Forces,

I write to inform you of the movements of the undead in the Daggerhills, that you might consider their positions and strengths when you plan the defenses of the city of Shadowdale.

The brunt of the undead forces consists of Ghasts, Ghouls and Skeletons, the majority of which can be found in the vicinity of Castle Dondarion.
The first two roam the lands to the north without aim.
The skeletons travel in groups, each group lead by an armored man which appears to be exerting direct control over the undead in his squad.
These men are easily distinguished from the remainder of the squad and are often positioned at the forefront. At the time of penning this letter, they are relegated to patrolling the lands around the castle.

I have received testimonials from trusted witnesses that detail the arrival of a Dracolich at the castle as well as the presence of a Lich, likely to be a subordinate of the one found in the ruins of Myth Drannor.

The following paragraph is underlined in red ink.

I have detected a large number of undead beneath the sand in the hills.
I have received information that suggests the area is crossed by tunnels which are linked to the Underdark, but was unable to confirm or deny such directly.
If the path to the Underdark exists, the undead will have access to the Old Skull Caverns.

The forces of the City of Freehaven are stretched thin and are unlikely to be able to contain the threat.

Attached to the letter is a crude map, detailing the major landmarks of the Daggerhills, the positions of several groups of undead and the location of the occupied tunnels.
A line marks the southernmost position were the writer had spotted the undead.

*Taeron reacts to the letter immediately, reforming the guard duties and stationing men near the entrance to the old skull caverns. He also sends a letter to the dwarves, asking them for a few skilled engineers who could lead a possible collapse of the old skull tunnels, or perhaps flood them with lava...*

Bryanna finds herself in the inn, seated at a table in the dead of night. She works by candlelight sorting through the reports she's gathered from Cleophus, Jonah, Laura, and others. She pages through them, tacking up a tallies in a ledger. She makes counts of the number of rapes which have been reported, the number of confessed murders, the number of suicides. She totals the deaths, the rapes and murders under "grave" crimes. She stares at the numbers, trying to wrap her mind around them as Taeron joins her to go over the reports.

Gerard accompanies the sellsword Leander and the elf Sylmae to clear out and scout several known monster haunts around the town in order to flush any remaining parasites that may have fled there. Afterwards they are rewarded by Dacius, the man who hired them.
