Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training

After the parasite incident and curing then and many other projects blue seems to be weaker than
ever.

He rarely eats or drinks much now at all. he goes on like this for weeks. He has been training and already adept with a blade just fine tuning his magic use to blend in seamlessly. He started preparing his body and mind starting with a cleansing of his body and mind having not sought reverie for some time now he can be seen mostly in a trance of some kind.

He is not seen in the city of song for now after he left this morning already in a weakened state from his "cleansing" he returned home and locked himself in his families ritual room sealing the door shut so none may enter..

He then kneels in the families ritual room surrounded by crystals and in the center of a circle and prays to Mystra for guidance.

Having fasted for some time now purging his body of its impurities not that he had many to begin
with. He continues praying having sealed the door so none may enter and no one can hear him
inside. He continues praying to Mystra for guidance after a couple of days of prayer he falls to
the floor. He isn't dead yet as far as he knows obviously if he can still think of such he isn't
surely.

After another day just laying on the floor and non verbal prayer he feels a strange sensation
all through his body but yet he cant move. It feels as though he is being flown by someone or
something. Since he cant move to see and barely able to hold his eyes open he gives into the
feeling and a feeling of true peace feels him. Still unable to move and overcome by the peace
that flows through him around him he feels as if the flying as stopped..

He continues to lay there surrounded by that feeling of peace and calm after what seemed like
days already just in flight. His body feels like it is taking in the feeling as nourishment
slowly he is able to move small parts of his body a finger here a toe there he can even blink
now though slowly.

He hears but yet he can not see anything yet.. He hears a ladies voice whispering to him

"Shh you will be ok rest now we have all the time we need here"

with that his eyes close once again he begins to recall his past all the way to now. Instead of
it bothering him he visits it in its entirety almost as if he is watching it through anothers
eyes. He would see everything he has ever done good and bad alike.. He is standing there
watching his life unfold and he isnt bothered by it anylonger. The lack of trust he once had
is now being replaced. He hears the voice again

"No one may judge you but us and those we choose shh relax now"

Oddly enough he does not fight the voice and does as it says.

After a few days of this the feeling is no longer focused on him though it is still through out
the place he is in. He begins to think the only time he has felt this was when he touched the
weave it self it was a warm satisfying feeling as if being hugged by a mother.

He awakens feeling much much lighter than before his muscles no longer ached his body was relaxed
so he sits up and tries to look around he sees nothing everything is silver and white nothing is
clear.

He begins to recall conversations he has had with many along the way about fighting tactics
styles and much more he recalls watching them even partialy training with them..

he recalls his magic training and being natural with it and then he recalls when he traveled
a darker path turning from his path and why all the conversations after he would listen and watch
but never practice what he was being taught. He had decided to hold him self back due to the
darkness he felt with in him..

he hears the voice again

"So is this why you never reached your true potential and turned away from your instructors?"

He would look around but answer with out even thinking though he sees nothing It is M'lady Mystra
By this time i felt no longer worthy of such training and felt i would dishonor those who taught
me.

"She would almost sound like she was laughing.. And were they aware of this feeling of shadows
building in you"

they knew of my past yes. "and yet you turned away from your destiny" I did yes i didnt feel it
was right yet.

"Do you think this is why your main diety chose to ignore you?" Mystra I claim not to know why
such was the case. "But yet you chose to follow me even though as a Minor diety to yours"

I did yes. "Why I ask" he would think back to his child hood and hearing stories of elminster and
Mystra. "I see What Else" He begins thinking of all the times he asked for guidance and never
recieved it until she chose to guide him or aid him. "I understand yes"

"So you wish to follow me so you may achieve what he has?" No, i looked up to him while i was
younger yes and after i no longer look up to him now though i do have respect for him..

"So I see" She would grant him arcane sight so he can better see.

"SO WHY ME I ASK" I honestly have felt this way since I touched the weave.
"she would lightly smile at that" "you are aware I only allowed that so you can better understand
what you were using" I am aware yes and it had changed my views of it for the better i believe.
for that i must thank you.

"She would nod to him" "You should know already by now I have only been guiding you because I
seen a greatness in you and the deeds you have done. Though there is one more thing I can still
do for you" With that she waves her hand and he Falls back down to a laying position.

"she slowly works backwards seeming to strip things from him along with the knowledge of it."

After a few days he awakens again. *he feels better than he did before* may i ask what it is
you did? "do you not feel better" i do "then why do you need to ask" *He would actualy think
this time* for the knowledge of.

"She would smile and laugh at him" "You indeed are a lore master
if i have ever seen one Quite simply i stripped the baggage you have been carrying all these years
that was holding you back. Now you may be free to achieve what i have seen in you"

"For with the baggage you carried you would never see your full potential and would become a
danger to all those below. you will no longer have the darkness in you nor any of its
abilities and now you know"

"There is little more i can do for you here *she point his attention to the distant*"

in the distant he sees his family both living still and the ones past. He would see a grave
with his name them behind it. But he never joins them in rest or makes it to Arvandor.

to the other side he see his kids standing next to a man that only vagueley looks like his statue
and his family standing behind him.

he would look between the two. Being faced with a choice and him knowing it he looks back to
mystra as she is vanishing *He bows his head to her* It is simple and yet it will never be enough
I know no other way to express it so i shall simply say "my deepest and sincerest thanks to you
mystra for all you have done for me." With that she smiles and vanishes as he turns to his choice

He Follows The God of magic Corellon and joins his family briefly before speaking alone with
corellon.

"My son are you ready to embrace your destiny now?" "I have waited long enough for you."
"It is time now for us to teach you what you turned away from so long ago"

They would sit for hours and days speaking blue would revisit each one who tried to train him
long ago. Each one teaching him many different things about the same professions he was meant
to take. He would spend what seemed weeks training and sparring with them weeks turn to months
in blinks of an eye. He would focus on Sword training Magic training Armor use. He would listen
intently to each and perform their actions until his body made them into memory. He was a sponge
again he absorbed every thing they said taught showed and what he learned in sparring.

He trains hard and gains speed his body accepts the armor and can now use it with out hendering
his magic abilities. His speed increases his skills increase though he has fewer now but more
focus in them he gains new abilities and skill with blade and magic.. He now has a swiftness
with his blade his movements becoming one with the blade his magic flowing equaly through it.
He learned the ability and mastered it of using armor with magic. He has learned the secrets.

Much to the Father of elves amuesment he seemed to enjoy and take pride in his follower growth
and skill.

Ryn trains day in and day out wasting no time "even though time it self has no meaning where they
are" as he nears the end of his training with all they can teach him he begins to think of home
and the city he left behind he often wonders how things are going.

He turns and there stands corellon.. "It is time now for you to return and help our people the
way you were ment to. You now have the ability to help them physicaly and magicaly it is on you
now to blend them both." *he would nod to corellon* My blade and magic will serve the people to
the best of my ability and beyond. Until such time i am called home.

He would then return after bowing to corellon and taking his leave making his way home as if
magicaly following a path back. He would return to the ritual room and awaken a fully Changed
Elven though he looks younger than he did his age is still the same and he has a renewed sense
of being and pupose. His body looks stronger he is taller he seems to have a confidence he didnt
before. *he kneels in the ritual room and gives thanks to the god and goddess of magic for their
help and their gifts.* With that he stands and exits the room.

Blue begins his physical retraining by revisiting places he trained early on.

he puts on his armor pulls his sword casts his magic and heads in..

Able to wear armor isn't a problem for him though it still interferes with his casting.. beings it is the goblins he visits a few failed spells wont make a difference now..

blue heads in and begins his training he would target the goblins and attack with his sword using style after style of techniques finding the one that fits him best..

goblins not being much of a challenge anymore he runs through often gathering 3 at a time before fighting them. He would attack one with a sword spin his head and throw out a hand and attack another with magic. he would then rely on his armor to take the hit from the third as he spins around and thrust his sword into the goblins gut.

he would do this and other techniques for a couple of days resting only to memorize spells before heading back in. and continuing his training.

as he does he revisits in thought his past slowly and only one memory at a time that he showed mystra.

he comes to a point where he lets it go and keeps going.

blue returns to his early training grounds and retrains.. this time he goes to the tome in shadow dale and looks for the undead that used to be there. he would spend a number of days repeating the goblins and the undead..

after a week of training in the usual manner he was use to he moves on and increases his technique acquiring more speed and fine tuning his technique of sword and magic.

he moves to the gnolls again..



here he will spend a few days training before moving on to more difficult prey..

(back dated I forgot to post it when I meant to got distracted)

having dealt with the gnoll training he moves on to the next phase.. since his battle with a magic eating spider he dreads this next part.. But non the less he goes through with it and enters the old silverhand estate and begins clearing out the built up spiders..

oddly he would quip in minor song rather childish sounding

two by two I wipe you off my shoe 4 by four others would bolt for the door but I bored holes and tore right through.. one would sneak up on him but out of the corner of his eye he catches a glimpse still battling the four he would let it creep up closer and closer occasionaly catching a glimpse checking its progress.. as it gets ready to strike he swings around and jams the sword into its mouth smiling he continues back with the other four five by five you just thought youd stay alive..

he would continue his training for the entire day before moving on yet again..

blue when he isn't researching he is training he spends his time training in the day.

today he visits the ants and trains there he asks nadin along to further his training but this time he goes it alone..

blue heads out to train early he goes to both the over growth and the beastmen areas and trains..

he takes a mage with him and helps her train as well..

but often he trained alone up till the keeper joins him or the mage does one training him and he training the other.. this would be one of the few times he trains alone.

When eventually Blue returns of one more of his trains, bloodied, dirty and exhausted, to resume his other daily activities, Nadin would adress him.

- Lord Cathlemet, I noticed you're quite agitated these last days, I'm starting to get worried about your constant travels and evident combats. Sometimes I fear that you eventually won't return from... anywhere you're going. If there is something you need help, please let me know and I will see what can be done.

He would nod at nadins words.. it not that I need anything in particular.. im just training I could use you help in it.. I am retraining as a blade singer I got most of it down from previous training and talks we you, nya, sherne, and so many others along the way and most of my previous instructors from when I was younger that I turned away from..

I have made peace with the past and accepted it im just a bit frustrated when I have to stop training is all.. but the undead do more than agitate me.. I cant stand them and attacking our forest and the sacred ground of our fallen ancestors.. *his eyes would seem like fire at that* I am angry by it..

forgive me my friend..

im having trouble with the blade song aspect of the training this part I never was trained in not properly as I was busy running around doing so many things.. perhaps you can demonstrate and teach me?

Lord blue, if you are in need of a steady aim i will protect you and see to that you return well and alive from each session.

blue would nod to melorien it would be appreciated my friend.. any help is welcomed.. I have been taking ny'onna out for her mage training as well.. I am nearly used to my armor already so casting wont be a problem to much longer.. the armor is a big boon to me as well I see now.. I should have been using it constantly long ago.. he would smile to them both and thank them.. you help is most welcomed my friends..

*Nadin would smile weakly, almost apologetic in the face of the elf visible anger*

I understand your anger milord, and this is one I share with you, even if I don't express myself as much as you... If you need a master in the bladesong you have one in me... I would normally evaluate before accept an aprentice, but this is not necessary in your case, I saw enough already.
There is still a matter I have to mention before, I am no noble, but if I am to be your master in the bladesong, titles should not interfer, so when teaching or training you will be my pupil, and not lord Ryn'ja Cathlemet, are you fine with this?

blue would place his hand on nadins shoulder..

titles you know me little to me already my friend I understand they are a sign of respect but between friends I agree they should not matter at all..

as for the noble aspect worry not my friend your nobility shines through like the sun through the sky..
if I can see that so can all the others..

Formalities are a part of an el'tael life in respect to the traditions. But yes, titles shall not restrain a teacher, otherwise he would teach only what the pupil wished to know, and this would lead to anything but a proper el'tael. I know you care not for the way I adress you constantly, and you know now I care not too in continue to do such *the elf smirks*, as I have to show by example how a quessir should stand.
To brand a sword you don't need the bladesong, to fight your foes you don't need to know the path of the el'tael, to apply swift justice you don't need parry, to rise to Arvandor under the grace of the Seldarine you require not learn what I have to teach you... so I ask you pupil, why do you want to be an el'tael?

the only reason is to better serve the people now a burden has been lifted I can refocus on previous training so I can better serve them with both blade and magic.. what more reason could there be..

blue having been taken as a student of nadin listened long to what the elf had to say he then goes out and does as instructed and practice his training.. he is to practice for days as instructed..

blue would go and train this day he trains harder this day seeming to think about Kendra being captured by the zhents and him able to do nothing about it.. before he realizes he is in the beastmen area..

he cast his wards forgetting to take of his chainshirt before doing so as he wears it almost constantly now and it seems to be apart of him so much so he doesn't realize its there.. a few spells failed but he continues on anyways.. he draws his sword eyes the area locating any beastmen he can see..

he races over to a group of five before they could even see him he lands the first blow just about taken ones head clean off.. the other four quick start attacking and another runs in from some where putting him back at five..

they quickly surround him he glances around getting their positions quickly.. he angles his sword down just a bit as he takes a stance *sword above his head in one hand crouching slightly his other hand stretched out in front palm out his last two fingers curled in his index finger and middle finger stand straight and together his thumb stretched straight to the side his head also angled down slightly as his sword his eyes dart from side to side*

as the first one jumps to attack he is quickly sent flying backwards with a spell same time another charges in from behind he tilts the sword down more and jams the sword in a backword thrust opening up the beastmans stomach. he twirls around by instinct and lands another blow cutting the beasts arm off sending it flying narrowly missing the face of another.. he spins back around and catches another cutting his hand with his weapon as it barely hangs the beast unable to use that hand now. he smiles as they manage to land a couple of blows hitting his armor. he spins all the way around using his momentum he the swings low cutting the legs off the crippled beastman send him flopping to the ground.. two disabled now but not dead he hears magic being cast from some where and instinctual takes many steps back luring the beastmen still remaining into his position.. he see the spell come in ice storm so he traces the spell to its origin up on the hill a sorcerer is casting.. the spell lands doing minor damage to the remaining beasts.. so he steps out of range of the sorcerer drawing the beastmen out more.. any looking on could tell this was basic movements and not something others call a bladesong his still more rough and somewhat forced movements. reminiscent of his battle in freeing shadowdale..

He returns to the battle at hand having taken a few more blows maneuvering them out more a fire flashes quickly in his eyes.. he takes up a new stance his hands tighten around the grip the sword standing straight in front of his face pointing up he looks down its blade he shifts it to the side in one hand his other stretched out in front this time his hand is straight out palm down.. he looks at the remaining beats fire flashing in his eyes as he recalls a comrade being held captive.. he turn his wrist slightly and motions them to come on..

the fire still burning yet he seems so calm as they charge he quickly moves in swinging his sword with both hands he cuts the first beast top half of his head clean off he stops as it falls limp to the ground.
he turns to the other two he moves in quick with his speed before they know it he has thrust his sword clean through anothers armor severing its back bone. leaving him one as an immediate threat.. he tells this one he will soon join the others. as it rushes in he twist to the side letting it run past him and slashes its back. as it goes beserk and rushes him again.. he side steps it and comes across its neck with his blade so swift and strong it head goes flying straight as its body stumbles and falls..

he goes around any still living he puts it out of its misery with one swift jab. and he collects the horns..

he looks up and laughs at the sorcerer and rushes up with his speed as the sorcerer turns he lets his blade fly right across its throat so it can cast no longer come back across it stomach opening it up and then kicks it off the cliff..

he goes down and finishes it off collecting the horn.. and heads back home turning to eye the way to krag he turns back maybe next time you bastards..

he walks home as he gets into the boat he raises his armor and patches him self up.. he goes and deposits the horns in his storage the fire fading from his eyes but barely visible still.. he heads to clean himself up before heading to the library to research.. he would favor one side as it is bruised more than he realized as his adrenalin fades.. but he walks tall non the less and though slower he bows to any he sees that bow to him..

In his way to clean himself he would find Nadin

- Tahandor told me you went for a walk... well, maybe not Tahandor, and maybe someone told me, cause I asked to be informed *smirks slightly*. So, the parry training seems to be going more extreme than I thought, it seems theres lots of blood in you, not cuting yourself I suppose...

*the elf pauses a moment before continue*

- It is all fine you train against our enemies, but just in case so you can know, do not go in suicide journeys, the path of the guardian includes yourself, you're one of the people too, so protect yourself is part of the job. Apply swift justice when you can, honor the alliance that you already do, save kin unless really not possible, but save yourself too in the same manner.

- Go get some rest, after reverie you can restart the moves, from begining, no more refreshments for the rest of the day pupil.

well master or is it instructor I think master is good.. I cant lie I thought about it running up there taking on a few zhent but I didn't I stuck to the beastmen.. Nope no refreshments this time either just some research and some bandages..

*nods at the reverie part* I could use some of that but later for now I will go train else where..

*looks at the blood* no master its not mine just bruising this time around it will mend..

aye master still working on the parry.. its about there still fine turning my style finding what works best for me and a combination.. I think it will get easy more I train it should start to feel more natural..

aye I will do as you say..

*bows his head and sets off*

*smirks back* may have been the boatman I make no secret about the training.. *dips his head and continues on*

after some time at home and a change of his armor he heads back to the boatman tucking any visible bandages back in so they are not seen.. he would take the boat informing him of his planned route *with a smirk* just incase  *he would say* and head out to train again..

(the keeper may be informed he was heading to the overgrowth but likely no one else would be)

once there he would train following a particular route thru the forest.. he would push him self harder and faster each time.. he would stay there for a long period of time resting only when he exhausted his spells.. then follow the route through more as he feels his spells failing he would make his way out and head back stopping to check the shops in shadow dale and fight some gnolls for training and going to the rangers camp there selling a few items and head back home.. having been gone two passings of the sun and moon just in the growth not counting his time traveling.. by the time he reaches the boat he is out of supplies both healing and food..

Having trained harder than ever this day blue makes his way home as he enters myth drannor he receives word sent by cleo asking him to join him on an expedition..

blue does so still hurting from his training and they head to old elven court with melorin imesah ravossel and others.. they fight their way through many drow and to make up for lost time they sneak past a lot..

as they do blue anger grows the make it to their destination a place blue has been before just a different section of it.. he sees all the drow after they slayed many they proceeded ethereal as it was the safest way for them all.. they pass many drow all on guard as if they knew they were coming it seemed..

he grows more angry at the sight as the pass so many drow still left alive in our second home land.. he spits at the drow as he passes knowing it didn't matter as he griped his sword so tight his knuckles change colors..

they make it to their destination and begin fighting after dark falls spiders in the old house. this house so old and yet still beautiful inside.. he could tell it was an old elven home and the area it was in it had to be a nobles house from long ago.. forgetting he is no longer immune to poison he and the rest start fighting the spiders as the seem to come from ever nook and cranny conceivable. after much fighting he is bitten and soon falls to the bite his companions heal him enough to continue.. they final find what they sought.. they rest as they make plans and secure the room tight as they prepare to leave and fight their way through which he so looks forward to.. a portal appears for some reason blue makes them all go through before him having temporarily tended to his wounds enough to make it to council and back home before he collapses on a sofa..

badly wounded unable to move his muscles still twitch his sword still in hand griped tighter than before like he is still fighting.. his bruising now covering half his chest and back some on his arms..

blue does not train this day as he is still weak tending to his wound his armor is being cleaned both sets now so he can assess the damage and make repairs.. he still hobbels about working on his form with out any attacks he has no idea how good it will work with out testing under the conditions of being attacked..

but he still practices his foot work his manuvers take short pauses do to pain that some cause.. he has a lighter training sword made of wood he uses.. he still focuses on his training and works out new moves to try after he heals properly he can be seen about the house in a light plain shirt mostly likely silk and a pair of pants made of a sturdy material..

he plays with his kids though he hides the pain from them as he does.. the nanny occasionaly seeing will take the kids outside to play while under the watch of the guards and their pet dog Tessa which they ocasionaly try to ride like a horse..

his brothers often checking in on him bringing him more herbs and spices for him to make his tea blends and healing supplies.. they often talk about things and they question why he puts him self through such..

he simply says if not me then who? you? our brother? a refugee? some one lower in training? who?
I can not sacrifice any one else if I am not willing to do the things they are sent to do.. you have your job our brother has his and I have mine.. each one is as equaly important as the others.. you defend our land he defends our house I defend the family to better do so I need the training I turned away from more so now than ever.. so what I get hurt it was no different than my mage training blowing things up melting the tables.. no difference at all.. as he was sitting they help him up he says quickly "careful now im fragile don't break me" and they laugh..

I must go see a cleric tomorrow I need to get back to training..

I also need to go to the temple.. so much to do ..
