Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptySat May 24, 2014 9:56 am

I can take a hit, however, you should be careful as to where you allow your opponent to go.

With that, having been hit on the leg, she spins around, and picks up her shield from the ground, as it appears she was moving for that the whole time. Now with her shield in hand, she begins fighting Blue, Now fighting with both sword and shield, the shield adding some different balance to her fighting style, allowing her much more free control of what to use her blade for, now that she doesn't have to focus on blocking with her blade. Not to say that's the only thing the shield is used for, as it's just as formidable a weapon, as Celedien seems quite adept in using it to bash and push with as well.

With the added freedom, that should push Blue quite a bit more, since if he chooses to block the sword with his own, Celedien is free to use the shield against him, and vice versa.

he doesn't care about the shield after a while of hitting that arm it would become a problem for her to wield until then it is only a nuisance to him.. he dodges the shield when he blocks her sword.. or uses a blow to strike her shield in a way to move it in away the exposes her arm and he would punch her arm..

at times he would use a grease spell under her or direct a gust of wind to make the shield move in a way she had not intended..

at some point he would start getting annoyed and change shape into an iron golem and start smashing the shield with the force of a golem.. or he would take it from her with the form and toss it off to the side.. and change back..

Celedien, when he tries to go for her shield, would simply dodge him, or use the shield to deflect his blow in such a way that it's barely even noticeable. It would also appear that the shield is rather well crafted for Celedien, fitting on her arm almost perfectly, and the Paladin is used to a certain amount of hammering, so a single elf would have a hard time weakening that arm. Should he change into the shape of an Iron Golem, she would merely begin using Blue's new size against him, after all, A golem is rather slow, and easy to hit.

Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptySat May 24, 2014 9:02 pm

short of ripping her arm off "which he would not do" he gives up on the shield and returns to normal form.. he then summons mordekines sword for a time and has it fight her also.. then he would cast mirror image on his self and summon forth a bunch of blades and even pulling near by blades with other spells he would control those with a thought and have a circle of blades surrounding him for defence..

any time she got close she would find her self swarmed by attacking blades and him shielded by yet even more blades.. if she gets caught in between them they would all attack as would he.. fully warded with mirror image seeing around 8 or so blue mages with many blades flying through the air.. this should prove and interesting match..

he cast glass dopple ganger on top of it all warding it he then uses invisiblity and stealth combined to vanish from her sight while she is still faced with the dopple ganger and swords and at least 7 other blue mages..

he would sit back and watch her fight them and take a quick drink from his water skin put it away and join in the battle.. he would stalk around her looking for openings while others attacked.. he would not cut her him self so he would swing hard with his sword from a blind spot he finds with the blade hitting her legs with the flat side of the sword around the back of the knees.. or when she swings or blocks he does the same to her sides.. or if he was able to he would use the pommel of his sword and strike her head beings it isn't the sharp pommel he normaly has it would only deliver a blunt force blow..

helm or no it would definetly make her ears ring. after all he is a mage why not use it.. he begins tossing spells also pulling stuff and throwing it at her making sure to not hit his dopple ganger and throwing things through openings he sees..

as all this is going on he sneaks in with the confusion and things flying at her and attacks also along with everything else..

as his dopple ganger attacks the mirror images attack the swords all attacking he dances through and around them him self and attacking.. he would keep this up for as long as the spells last and since some are persistent they will last for at least 24 hours or until he dismisses them..

he pulls out all the stops uses everything he can think of and some that just seem to happen by instinct.. his dance seems to have reached a height even he is unaware of as he just dances and uses what he has by instinct.. he cast spells attacks while his other spells are active its complete chaos and onslaught of attacks and moves and counter moves.. he uses lightening acid fire and cold attacks with sonic not long after his blade enchanted does magical damage also on contact so even if she blocks the hit magical damage is still done weather her resistance absorbs it or not is another matter..

he continues this intense attack until either they both fall over exausted or he feels it is to overwhelming for her.. or begins to drive her crazy.. at which point he would begin to lessen or dismiss the spells.. little by little..

Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptySat May 24, 2014 10:03 pm

Celedien merely swats the flying sword off, and without any real effort cleaves the images apart, having faced that silly kind summoning several times. As Blue then decides to ward up, then so does She, pulling on blessings to Enchantment her strength and endurance, as Well as enchanting her blade further, both with divine energy, and with magical enchantments. And with a few quick strikes the glass figure falls to pieces, it would seems that the Paladin is actually rather pissed right about now.

she doesn't really seem to care about thenspinning blades, considering they arnt moving.

When he suddenly hits her legs with the flat side of his blade, the only thing that does is make her aware of where he is, which means she merely spins around, and brings the blade down upon him with all the strength she now has, which would almost be similar to that of his iron golem form, which also means he has no time to strike against her helmet, it's either dodge this, or end up at the temple for some serious healing. And even should he dodge it, he will now be facing a paladin of Corellon at full might, leaving him next to no time to concentrate on casting spells of any kind if he wants to avoid serious injury.

Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptySat May 24, 2014 11:26 pm

she would find the images are not as easily dispatched as she thinks nor is the dopple ganger..

sure she may get one or two easy enough and blue having the speed would likely still be able to swat her leg and hit her helm then dodge.. it would likely take her two hits 3 tops to take out the dopple ganger as it is warded as well though not as much as the real blue..

pissed or not doesn't matter he continues the assault full force by the time she did get through the last mirror image she would find more had been conjured along with another dopple ganger and as she attacks the flying swords would as well attack her.. as if wielded by an invisible person.. as she wards and attacks he dodges with a back flip or a side step either way he dodges and upon landing a glow begins to form over him he begins speaking in draconic.. he looks up and flames burst from his armor..
surrounding him..

his eyes flicker and a color change appears in them no longer swatting her but attacking meaning to do damage his attacks faster than normal and his naturaly enhanced speed make it appear and feel like she is fighting 2 or 3 blues at one time..

by the time one blow is seen coming he would have hit twice already he further enhances his speed and casts true strike as well as greater magic weapon never being off balance she finds it is harder to pin point his location and which attack to block as it appears now there are four possible attacks by the time she sees one.. each time one cuts her.. he switches hands at times as well so by the time one move is blocked or dodged he has done switched hands and is striking another blow...

any one looking on would simply see a blur attacking her from many angles "providing their vision isn't enhanced" all the while things are flying at her either by magic or simple thrown by physical force when with in reach of an object.. using his speed to attack and cut her in stead of playing the swatting game..

with his speed and extra momentum he deals a small amount of extra damage from the impacts.. she would see he is no longer thinking or holding back his body and mind reacting by instinct his move more flowing and literaly seamless into one another when he is moving at a speed slow enough for to glimpse the moves.. which would be rare glimpses as slowing down that slow isn't an option for him now..

relentlessly he attacks showing no mercy he uses a spell veil of air and uses gas attacks as well.. to further hinder her and conceal his movements filling the air with gas and fog..

the more he fights the more speed and agility he shows.. his tel'kirra slowly begins to glow as he is no longer willing it to be invisible .. he begins to summon forth more energy and power seems to come with it.. he begins to cast in draconic again this time he cast flesh to stone.. and immediately after should she resist the spell he casts mass fowl at her.. should she resist that she would be weaken to a point she can no longer fight.. should she resist the flesh to stone and not the mass fowl she would be transformed into a chicken either way the fight would soon be over.. if she didn't resist the stone spell then the mass fowl would not be cast..

either way the battle is ended soon and he would not deal a final blow as it is training and not meant to be life or death..

at the end of the battle he would thank her for the training and heal any wounds with an epic healing spell he learned..

Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptySun May 25, 2014 5:03 am

// alright, this god modding has to stop

Is this all you got?

Celedien doesn't care about his new speed as she is trained well in defending herself, the new mirror images are soon is dispatched off (considering thy are unlikely to have over 20 ac), the new glass double ganger isn't a problem either (considering it can max be HD 15), and is fairly weaker than blue himself. The fire covering his body isn't a problem, as Celediens shield seems to absorb most of if not all of the same from that. His concealments would be fairly less effective, as Celediens knows very well how to fight hidden opponent.

When he tries to end it with flesh to stone, that she resists, with mass fowl she resists that as we'll. All of the paladins body covered with wards and magical items, amd also those he cast on her earlier, sure help against spell like that. However the effort does drain her, so she backs off a little. She fights on, putting a hand on her chest which promptly glows and heals most wounds troubling her.

that's enough!

Celedien jumps back, and out of his reach, and provided he doesn't follow to continue the fight. She sheathes her sword. The Paladin, while drained still seems quite able to fight and is still a formidable opponent.

I really enjoyed the rp on this here and the little we did ig a while ago.. thanks mate..if I could give you a couple of lesser tokens for a reward I would most definitely do so with out a doubt..))

After Blue has left, Celedien glances to Nadin. And finally now, she puts down her shield on the ground, and leans on it, letting out a groan, as it seems she's a bit more hurt than she first let out.

Swordsmanship I can do, spellcasters are a pain to fight though, remind me to get some elemental protection gear later. If you dont mind, I think I'll go. . . lay down for a while, and have my armor sent for a polish.

PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptyMon May 26, 2014 10:26 am

blue comes back a day later..

it started over power hungry fools finding an excuse to take power from another when negotiations failed their patience failed and so began the attacks..

this lead to a retaliation of attacks from another empire who used the first as an excuse as well as a mask to hide their true intentions..

this lead to many more wars lasting around a milenia or more of war..

sadly I can relate to this as well as much the same happened to our families island.. stupid power hungry people.. blooming morons.. "his disgust is evident at this point"

anyways it began this way and over time it lead to the down fall of an entire subrace and a specific family of another sub race and many of their followers..

as for lessons to take away from this take your pick their are many as there are many views to be see..

just because you have a right to claim something does not mean you should..

it takes only a few idiots to start a war.

it takes many good folk to end one

good prevailed over evil in time

the others of the race united

though elves and we have fewer wars than humans their wars are short lived and over quickly where ours lost hundreds of years so that puts us on an equal scale..

those who seek power for powers sake are corrupt already and abuse it

if you cant trust kin who can you trust

keep your friends close and your enemies closer

trust no one

absolute power corrupts absolutely

one should keep their secrets from all others

knowledge is power and should be guarded well

knowledge should not be given but earned

a lesson in alterior motives

a lesson in actions have an equal and opposite reaction

cause and effect

the abuse of power

the consequences of such

lives of the people lost to foolishness

how some need to be bent over and spanked like the children they are

how a few bad apples can spoil the basket this I know

and even in a spoilt basket of apples there are a few worth saving this I know

evil begets evil this I also know

empires come and go

legacies built and lost

honor lost

nobility does not always mean one is right nor should it

why one should control their emotions

in all I can continue on with lessons to be taken from them

in short just because one thinks they are right others should not be afraid to take a stand and force them to rethink it. while one sits around on their blooming butts and does nothing they open them selves up to being over ran.. power and knowledge should be earned not given. the lives of many out weigh the lives of a few.. ego's emotions and many others contribute to the downfall of many civilizations even the mightiest.. trust should not be given but earned.. time reveals all things.. and why I damn well hate having power over anything but myself and family.. but hate it or not I take it only when it is needed and when it isn't I usualy give it up..

how disappointed I am in others while I still hold hope they will see the light this is both a strength and a weakness..

how one can grow complacent over time and there fore make them selves weak..

how corruption sinks in and takes hold not letting go..

oh hell many things can be said and taken from them they span a gambit of lessons from tactical to religious to weak rising up to endurance and perspective and view points to art to war to victory to sadness to greed to corruption to salvation to wisdom to enlightenment to death and to beyond..

it all depends on your mood and feelings at the time combined with your view points and agreements and disagreements..

this is a subject that would take many years to discuss and teach and still there is no one right answer as to what one can learn from it..

if you are power hunger you are corrupt if you make deals with things you should not you will be corrupt and tainted.

there is a good and greater good and the lines are often blurred ones actions can condemn an entire race
and yet anothers can save it..

the one lesson i think of is hope kindness and enlightenment and knowledge..

these are what we should hold onto that even in the darkest of times these shine the brightest and most true and from them come a power many do not understand and will never achieve..

knowledge forgotten is doomed to repeat itself in history look at us now we have many sitting around doing nothing while we are surrounded by evils and the evil is left alone to grow.. when a few can go and make a difference.. sure research helps at times a lot but only when you have many doing it and not just a few with many doing it less time is needed where as with only a few many years will be needed and by then it will be to late to be used or not needed..

we used to be united and as time passes we become more devided.. something needs to happen to change this and what that is or will be is unknown to me or i would have already done so..

im beginning to change topics so i think i will stop here and leave again to train else where and return to my contemplation of thoughts while i work on various projects..

PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptyMon May 26, 2014 10:59 am

Fine el'tael in training, let me elaborate why I asked you this. The bladesong is a martial art, not diferent of any other martial art as far as go the techniques refinments, and I don't want teach a martial artist, being this a reason why I'm so very selective to those I decide to teach... And in fact you're my first pupil.
To be a bladesinger is much more than simple execute perfect dodges, parries and counter-attacks and giving yourself a tittle of bladesinger of the people... if you do not 'serve' the people purposes so you're not a bladesinger, but a martial artist magician. The daemonfey, the drow, they have soldiers trained in the bladesong, but they are -not- real bladesingers, but something else corrupted to serve wicked purposes, of course these are extreme cases.
There is a reason why the bladesong is taught and learnt in a slow process that lingers over a century in many cases, as in my case for example. The excuse is perfection, but the reason is more simple than this, a good master wants make sure his pupils are trained to be the guardians they shall be, the devoted minds they must have, to have the heart that is mandatory, and to offer the inspiration we have to provide to the quessir.
Our duty here is crystaline to me, the people found a future in the alliance of good races, and I do believe you have the same mind, and soon you will be able to execute the song of fury, you're almost there I see, a perfect executioner of the bladesong... will you continue training to guard the lore and the memory of the people in our traditions, teach better ways to the quessir, inspire them and zeal for the ways that will provide prosperity in the future? Always with the seldarine lessons in your heart?

Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training   Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training - Page 4 EmptyMon May 26, 2014 11:50 am

aye I understand.. I truly do thank you for the instructions and am honored to be your first pupil I know im a pain to teach at times as I have a different view of the art perfection yes has its place a well placed strike performed flawlessly.. but seemingly imperfections as well is as much of the art.. one cant predict everything and this brings forth unknowns and unknown ways to react..

as much as I try to be perfect in it I know I am not and likely will never be so. so I embrace this and use it to my advantage.. I am here to serve the people as best I can to the best of my ability.. to do so I needed to be properly instructed and taught as I have done so much since I stopped the training while I was younger and only now have vague memories to relearn by..

at times I may seem to have the best of the people in mind and at times I have to make a tough choice between the many and a few. this requires a tougher stance than one normal sees from me.. years of battle and war have taught me this and I have seen and learned much in techniques and styles..

adaptation and flowing is also key to survival and protection.. flipping over and ally in battle striking a blow to an enemy while leaning back pushing the ally out of harms way and either taking the blow your self or narrowly being missed is an adaptation.. and also seen as an imperfection though it does get the job done..

my body after years of battle has its own instincts so long as I can keep my mind cleared from all the stuff that flows through it usually it does pretty good on its own.. at times I may appear harsh but most often this is only on myself..

my intent is true my execution is not as flawless as others and at times this will serve me and others it will hinder me..

*smiles at him* I may be seen as a stuborn old elf who is undisciplined and hard to train near impossible even.. this should not reflect on you but myself.. and whether the people like it or not I am an el'tael either formaly or not as in the past I have always tried to protect and serve the people I may make mistakes from time to time but we all do or else we would not be alive.. we learn and grow from them..

they are apart of who we are and what motivates us to strive harder to achieve what others could only dream of..

why else would I choose to pick this profession up again and turn my previous training upside down if not to better serve the people of the city.. when in fact for my own purposes and intentions I was fine with my previous training and still able to serve the city.. atleast then I was protected from diseases and poisons bahh no I got to redo that training again too.. may be one day I will have time for it..

the only clear thing to take away from war s in past is there are many life lessons and paths to choose from..

from a teaching view point there are many lessons..

for me personaly their is beauty in everything if you look hard enough and yes imperfections are a beauty them selves.. in keeping with that my view is simple I do what I believe with my heart to be right and how others view this I do not care for other than me myself no other has a right to judge me but the gods them selves or of course the coronal beings she was appointed by them..

should this carry favor with the people so be it should it not oh well either way I fight for them regardless of how they view me and I maintain a hope that one day they will all see things from a similar view.. acceptance kindness guidance love for each other and others is the best way for us.. we embrace each others uniqueness and differences of opinions.. once we all realize this again there will be no one able to beat us.. our kinship to each other and our connections to one another should be our strongest points and not drive us apart.. though we are of the same main race and our division in sub races may be different each one of us is an individual and has a unique personality.. we embrace each other more like family we are truly strong and unified.. until such a time as I have seen comes to be we will continue to struggle making only small strides twords our goals..

*he smiles with a sigh* forgive me master I went all philosophical for a moment there..

please continue

Regarding your impressions in the crown wars, wild and open thoughts can confuse people, but hardly inspire, think more about and dont haste in conclusions of lessons to future.
Today lesson will be about patience, you are not to talk anything for two days starting now. After you finish come talk about.

If Blue tries to talk Nadin will gesture to him silence.

I heard monks usually excell in this technique... I wonder how long an elven monk could execute this. You may go now pupil.

blue had let him a note with what he had ask blue to do then he wasn't seen again for a month and still hasn't been seen..

he had continued his training process while he was away he felt his training near complete and continued his work on another project and has yet to return to the city of song..

he is often seen around his lands in the morning entering a newly added room and at mid day till late at night entering a section others do not dare access.. when he leaves there he spends a little time with his kids and betrothed and then retires to his room..

*Blue would review his training notes and then turn them over to lia for study*

the same applies to you my title is of no concern while i further your training. Now mine is a bit different
in style than i was taught and my methods vary as well. review the notes in your spare time for now go to the practice dummies and show me how far you have gotten. not to worry the dummies are spelled so they will not be damaged.

*looks at her serious* so long as you agree to this we may continue.

*providing she agrees he would open a door to a makeshift training room for her to practice* i may in time bring another for you to spar with as well.

Isiolia would arrive in Myth Drannor and seek out Lord Blue, dressed in her armor and both sheathed swords jingling at her sides. She greets the mage politely with a smile. When she arrives, she nods and takes the training notes from Blue. “Thank you. I’ll do my utmost to study them closely.”

She sobers and tilts her head to the side, listening to the mage. “Very well. I accept your terms.”

She follows Blue into the training room, silver eyes focusing on the combat dummies. She wanders over to them and does as instructed. She carefully unsheathes her sword and turns her head toward Blue. “All right then.” She murmurs and falls into the stance she was first taught; she seems well-versed when it comes to balance.

She begins to move in the way her first teacher taught her and then the ways she taught herself. She seems to move fluidly in her armor, the sword “singing” through the air and she begins to perform the Song of Celerity. She begins to move quickly, but her form is not by any means perfect. It’s rough and a bit unfocused but the potential may be there. Her eyes blaze with determination as her longsword strikes the dummy.
