Blue's Awakening and Lia's Training

She begins to move in the way her first teacher taught her and then the ways she taught herself. She seems to move fluidly in her armor, the sword “singing” through the air and she begins to perform the Song of Celerity. She begins to move quickly, but her form is not by any means perfect. It’s rough and a bit unfocused but the potential may be there. Her eyes blaze with determination as her longsword strikes the dummy.

*he watches her for a bit makes some note in his mind as she goes thru what she was taught*

your a bard yes? *he questions as she continues* have you tried treating it as a dance more? with elegance yet firm and sharp movements? *he ponders a bit* *smiling he says* stop and start again from the beginning please. your balance is great but your moves a little rough think of it as a dance each move can be improvised on to fit the battle the same as any dance can be altered to fit the music.

besides who doesnt like to dance *he smirks* and dont forget to use your magic as you go blade singer is a balance of blade and magic seperate or together makes no difference. challenge your ideas on it and push to find your own form and grace under fire. dont force it let it flow naturaly. form of an artist with precise clear firm strikes of military personel.

from there adapt it to become yours alone and improvise to find what works for you.

*he would stop with that and let her continue*

*blue would smile at her* a lot better it seems we may have found your style now to build on it.

*winks at her* you ready for a break or you like to keep practicing?

*he studies her movements and forms an idea in his head* i have another idea to try out but it will take some time to set up.

*nods* good meet me here again tomorrow oh and bring your armor but not wearing it where normal plain clothes *he smirks* you will see. and with that he returns to his normal routine.

*Blue would show up early that day to the secluded place with more dummies spelled and arrange them
in a circle he walks from one to another making sure each is just out of his strike range with his sword.*

*once he is done prepping them he then makes them invisible. The prepping included placing water skins in side them with various colored gel like liquid and candles on top unlit until she arrives. once she arrives the only thing she sees is a circle pattern on the floor by colored powder and a guy in the corner with no weapon or armor*

*blue would pre select some music that starts slow and build in speed as it goes and slows in the middle then speeds up again and one that is short and slow just long enough to dance around the circle a couple of times he makes sure by dancing in it.*

*he instructs the man in the corner to not start until she steps in the circle until then keep the instrument hidden having prepaid the man gold he instructs him to leave after the second song is finished.*

*blue then sits in the middle on the ground legs crossed and levitates him self high enough that he could stand from his seated position he closes his eyes and waits for his pupil to arrive*

*he would grin as she only sees the candles and the guy and him and the circle*

care to dance? *he steps in the circle as he does he lights all the candles*

*he assumes his dancing position he adjust one arm to about her mid waist in height and bends his elbow waiting for her to step in circle to dance*

*he to is in normal clothes armor laying in a chair*

*he waits for her to join or not*

*he would smirk* no trick yet this is simply what you call a relaxed tempo setting getting you used to an area. by dancing it gives you an opertunity to see more than you normaly would in many directions.

sometimes the glimpse you get is only a second or two sometimes longer.

*he chuckles* the tricks come later.

*he dances with her semi formal with added or substituted moves improvised for her to see each candle
and make note of its position*

*as they finish the rounds twice he spins her back to the center as he exits the circle as he does with his vision enhanced he mutters something near inaudible the candles stay as they are while things she has yet to see move to different positions.*

*if sh has her sword on her he would instruct the bard to begin the second song if she doesnt he would still start playing the song and blue would toss her her sword.*

this should help with your movements with out the armor after you can put your armor back on
*he would nod with a slight wink and a glint to his eye*

now i want you to get a feel for your movements with a practice go with out touching the candles.
then for the second go a round the bard will leave and the music will be up to you. as singing can distract opponents and the dancing to unheard music can as well.

or for some just you beauty and graceful movements will. in any case these can provide chances to attack.

for the second the music is up to you but i want you to extinguish the candle flames with out touching the candles them self how you do so is up to you be it by sword or magic.

*he gets a sly grin* and not to worry the tricks will start up soon.

*he would grin revealing his tiny fangs slightly* very good now the second round. *he waits for her to start* oh and by the way what did ya think of the dance? i thought it descent maybe not my best but was still ok i thought.

so what was your thoughts *he chuckles* and dont stop until done with the second round.

*at this point it may start to dawn on her what the dance was really for to help serve as a distraction to her thoughts.*

i thought you danced very well my self after all you one the contest for most beautiful elf in the city before. *he winks at her intent to distract her and make her blush* *he smirks as he takes a sip of his tea from his handmade and heavily decorated wooden cup*

*he grins at her from between sips* ohh im sorry am i distracting you? *he would snicker a little*

*as he does this he watches her studying her as he says each comment or each smile or grin he makes*

The moon elven woman begins to dance once more and begins to put out the candles with small gusts of wind that begin to stir around her. Instead of it being a spell, Blue would notice it’s perhaps an innate ability of hers. She sings a certain note to cause the winds to stir around her. “It was enjoyable, thank you!” She replies casually. "I thought you danced very well."

She blinks and smirks to herself. She began to realize how sly old Blue was. She seems more amused by the other moon elf as the lesson progresses.

“Well, thank you but really,” she groans softly, “can we not talk about the beauty contest? I feel like a bloody show piece with how much Michael talks about it.” She sounds amused but also rolls her eyes a bit. “Not that I don’t appreciate the title, I do. But, really, I do have a brain, as well.”

She can’t help but chuckle. She still took him seriously but she caught on quick to what he was doing.

*he would laugh* aye it is annoying isnt it but at least we know now you can continue with distractions perhaps soon as you are done here we will see how well you do with armor.

*he would sip his tea smiling*

and if you need a minute to change there is a room right there you can use.

i would also suggest proper padding for the armor you use this next one could be a bit bumpy.

*he would chuckle* ahh yes thank you i do dance good for someone with two left feet
*as he says it he looks down and mutters a spell giving him the appearance of two left feet*

*he would simply smirk and watch the reaction to that one*

we will do one round of the next bit of training then you may rest for the eve.

now we work on your form more.

Quite simple you get to attack the candles only difference is you get to do it blind folded. *pulls out a blindfold.*

*he chuckles* your form and your senses that is what we shall work on now. *hand her the blind fold*

for this exercise it isnt about hitting the target but using your form and a strike movement at the candles. but if you want to attack the candles you may do so. the candles are on the ground now.

this we will do once for your benefit and to hone your senses with out sight.

i will telly ou from experiance theyre many ways you can do this one after this one you may experiament on your own with them when we are done with your lesson today you can choose to continue practicing or take a break.

after this we will work on your form in combat.

*she may notice he has two swords now with him*

so when you are ready stop into the middle blind fold yourself and begin.

*he would smirk*

*he would chuckle* relax use your memory and be ware of your surroundings by using your other senses.

*he grins at that* and dont forget your magic it is also a weapon we use in conjunction with out blade and armor. remember your dancing before as your body aclimates to the armor your spells will fail less and less till they no longer do at all.

you are a descent bladesinger already you just need a bit of refining and help finding your style the rest will come with time and training and maybe a few sneak attacks *he winks*

your body will remember your moves and dance the more you become one with your blade and magic so much so you will do things with out even thinking.

if your move is blocked adapt to it bend the elbow and strike with it or swing around catch them with back handed fist that has magic in it.

if they dodge the attack swing the sword back and send a bolt of lightening thru it. spin and use your foot to trip them. *he grins* all can be part of your dancing style or other moves can be added.

there is no limits on what you can do or add to make it your own.

*he grins ready to try again*

*if she does as she begins to move he would move the invisible dummies a touch just enough to make a sound of them sliding across the floor to serve as distraction to her hearing.*

after this try we can stop for a break if you want or we can go on to the next part with out the blind fold.

after a conversation they spar for a bit ultimately he decides its nothing of the three individual aspects they are each very good sepperately just getting them to flow naturally together and her trust in her abilities is what needs work. her form still a little forced but not much now it is enough to throw her off a little tho. her magic is great her skill is great but together not so great. so he tries to build her confidence up. "trust your instincts let go of everything else let it all flow naturally from you." he tells her.

so he orders her to go have fun trying to get her mind off of it and will have her practice more. hopefully by remembering fun it will help her training.

he would smile proud of her and welcome her as a blade singer.

you did very well and there is a title but *shrugs* i cant remember what you are to be called now ill ask and find out *he says with a smile* for now rest up you are a blade singer now. from here on its up to you to make it yours, my training has ended its yours now. im still working on a gift for you that is both useful and to commemorate the event. be proud you did very well enjoy some rest now you earned it. go have some fun *he says with a smile* you will still have access to my training room should you need. *he goes off and thinks about what would be useful to her*
