From the East, a howl was heard late in the night. A wolf, howling at the pale, cold light of Selûne. A few moments later, Alexander and Taerynn could be seen entering the town's walls. Taerynn had something in her arms, cradled gently with an intended care. It was a pup, no older than a month, in her arms. The pup was physically sick, down to barebones and fur as he whimpered in Taerynn's instinctive motherly embrace.

The two would hastily head to the hospital, hoping someone at this hour was still there. . .

The doors to the hospital are never locked, and there is always a lamp shining in the window.

Jonah wakes to the commotion and greets the pair. "What seems to be the trouble?" He glances down at the little package and his face grows serious. "I think you'd better come inside..."

Alexander would come inside, and speak with Jonah quietly about the wolf pup, and how Laura said that the hospital could help the sickly runt. He would attempt to leave the pup in their care, ambling his way back to the Old Skull for some much needed rest.

Alexander was back by the morning's first light, and would check up on the little one. . .

"I..."

Jonah seems unhappy about the situation, and even more so after Alexander leaves. None the less, he stays up through the night with the tiny pup, and tries to feed it some goat milk with egg yolk in whatever mixture the poor creature will tolerate. Between feedings, he keeps the pup tucked in his robe near his chest to keep it warm.

By first light, Jonah is no longer in the hospital; if tracked, he can be found asking around among the farmers for a dog that might have recently whelped.

Alexander infact would ask around for Jonah, and sigh as he was gone. The man would look around in the morning's rise, following his footsteps. He muttered about people always leaving a trail. . .

Should he find Jonah, he would explain the situation about the pup to the Ilmatari.

Jonah sits in a half-built barn out of the rain. At his feet is a large dog suckling her pups, plus one tiny wolf. He looks up to Alexander as he approaches.

After trading words, Alexander was handed the wolf pup back. He and Jonah would trade words before both departing. . .
