At the temple of the Seldarine

A somber expression crosses Maura's face and she nods weakly. "I am so sorry..." she utters at a volume barely above a whisper.

"He is probably affected by lycanthropy then."

The priestess said with a worried expression in her face.

"Have you tried casting healing spells on him? A healing or remove disease spells often work against it. I have also heard that eating a fresh picked belladonna plant may help. It most likely only works one hour after the infection and keep in mind that belladonna is a toxic plant."

She ponders a while longer and then hesitantly adds:

"Another possibility is to cast a remove curse or enchantment breaking spell on him. But this has to happen during one of the full moon nights when he shapeshifts... I am just not sure if we should wait that long."

"You will have to try to find some belladonna then. But you must be quick. Let us hope the herb together with a healing spell will cure him."

Maura takes a deep breath. "I have to keep it together," she thinks to herself. She nods in confirmation of Mineva's statement, "I also administered a potion of Heal, but it did not occur to me at the time to use anything else. I will bring you some belladonna. Where should I start looking?"

"Maybe you find some herbalist somewhere or ask a druid." The priestess says while she asks a few other elves to carry Aureco's body to a safe place and tie him firmly in case the others don't find the herb in time.

(This is a little quest for you guys and preferably the search for the belladonna will be done in game )

(( That'd be awesome. I'll be on this evening about 9pm CST and am available all day on Sunday. ))

(I will try to catch anyone of you or preferably both of you in game unless you manage to get a belladonna from somewhere else )

Maura nods respectfully to the priestess, "I will begin searching immediately. Mineva, let's see if we can find Lhanir." With that, she takes her leave, a hurried and determined pace to her steps.

Maura returns to the temple with Kalthanar, Mineva, and the druid, Amilmawiel. "Priestess! We've brought the belladonna!" she says enthusiastically, holding out a small wrapped package.

*The tiefling stood casually beside Maura, thumbs tucked in his belt loops*

"Now let's just hope it works"

*Beyond that he kept quiet, finding comfort in Maura's excitement despite his sour disposition at the moment of arrival*

*Tael Amilmawiel finds them outside of the Druid's Grove and when she learns about it, she decides to escort them back and see it for herself. Looking at Maura, she nods and looks at the priestess*

"We were lucky to have Lhanir possess the herb, even though it was rare."

*She continues as she looks around*

"How is Aureco doing? Let's hope that this will humble him a bit, I have faith in the Seldarine that he'll be okay with the herb."

The priestess looks over the odd group consisting of an elf, a half-elf, a tiefling and an aasimar then smiles as they bring the belladonna.

"You found one? Very good and even fast. Time is important in this matter. Let us hope it works."

The priestess takes the herb and makes some kind of belladonna potion of it so Aureco can drink it. Aureco is being brought to them.

"I don't know how much is needed exactly. I will let him drink it all though the herb is not exactly healthy."

With that she lets Aureco drink the whole belladonna drink and afterwards casts a healing spell on him.

As Aureco is fed the concoction with the Belladonna and the healing effects, he appears to grow visibly better. He shifts uncomfortably a few moments before his light green gaze opens briefly, only to blink once or twice in the following minute. His stare is upon the ceiling during this time till he turns his head to look at the priestess then at the others in silence.

"I'm... where am I?" He manages quietly in a barely audible tone.

Maura watches the priestess work with some anxiety. After the spell is cast, she speaks, "If you would have them, I offer my abilities as a cleric." She smiles slightly, "I have access to eighth-circle healing spells."

(( Current level 18. 2 fighter/16 cleric. CL 18 b/c of Practiced Caster feat. I also forgot to note before that Maura displays Shuandakul's symbol, embossed, on the center of her breastplate rather obviously. ))

As she watches Aureco slowly return to consciousness, an elated smile appears on her face , her eyes glossy from the threat of tears. She looks to Kalthanar, Mineva, and Amilmawiel excitedly, then back to Aureco. "You're in the temple of the Seldarine, Aureco. Thank the gods you're awake."

*She smirks as she looks at Aureco wake up*

Ah you have awoken. You're welcome. The Seldarine want you to live it seems.

*She grins at him as she leans over a bit.*

...By the way, you were saved by a druidess and I don't mean myself.

*Keeping her small grin, then she looks at the priestess*

...If more herbs are required I could gather them and assist with Druidic magic as well.

The priestess smiles gladly as Aureco awakes.

"It seems that you at least got back your consciousness. If the belladonna really worked we will know after the next full moon. Until then you should be watched to be sure."

She looks to Maura then.

"As a priestess you will certainly be able to take care of him especially if the belladonna shows any toxic effect on him."

Aureco simply watched as the people spoke to him, simply closing his eyes and finding some rest again...

*The tiefling would have remained tight lipped until Ami mentioned being saved by a druidess*

" Someone had to find the druid with the belladonna, that was Tiger and Min " *purposefully leaving out himself*

" you're welcome" *He said before turning to Maura the sour look on his face rather quickly turning to a warm smile*

*She blinks a bit and then chuckles at Kal*

Oh, I didn't mean it like that. It was a comment that only him would get, if he still remembers it that is.
Of course you all helped greatly, with me the least, unfortunately.

*She nods as she briefly explains what she meant and looks at Aureco*

Let's leave him to rest.

(( FYI: Next full moon is early Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (about 4:50am CST on Wednesday). Unfortunately, I will be working overnight and Maura will not be available if this situation takes a turn for the worse. ))

Maura makes a return visit the next day to check on the Sun Elf's status... (( This took place yesterday. ))
