Sara visits the Temple of Sune [DM or Faction member Requested]

Sara Panthera has left Shadowdale at a late hour and after some time made her way down the river by crossroads until she arrives at the dock near the Temple of Sune. Once she has made her way to the temple of Sune she introduces herself politely.

"Greetings, my name is Sara Panthera. I am looking for a place to sleep while I pick my thoughts. I can help with whatever you can think of and am quite capable with my sword."

Once she has said that, she brushes her rainbow colored hair back over her shoulders while looking hopeful if not a little lost.

A young woman with wavy red hair, and a flowing red silk dress, adorned with simple but elegant jewelery, approaches Sara when word reaches her of their request. A warm smile on her lips, she speaks with a soft, but clear and gentle voice.

"Hello, dear. My name is Isabella, how can I help you this evening?"

Sara stands there resembling the Ironhouses' color in medium weighted mithral armor along with a red cloak with a custom beautiful red hood. Her hood was down regardless so she could flaunt her rainbow dyed hair around.

"And I am Sara Panthera, pleased to meet you. I am looking for a place to stay at the Temple to learn more about Sune and her teachings. In return I can do any task you would require of me."

Sara returns a small smile and crosses her arms idly behind her back, a bit taken back by the relatively warm welcome.

Studying Sara appraisingly, Isabella seems to be weighing something in her mind. Whatever thoughts were running through her mind, she nods slightly after a moment before spreading her arms to gesture to the temple around them.

"Then I welcome you to the Temple of Love and Beauty, miss Sara. I'm sure we can find comfortable lodgings for your stay with us, and a few chores to keep you occupied. What are you hoping to learn of our Lady Firehair in your time here?"

Sara looked over to the Temple she'd been to before for brief prayers but her attention soon enough turned back to Isabella. "Another way of life, if such a thing is possible. I've spend my entire life practicing my blade. If it matters to you, I am a knight in training. Or a squire, rather." She stretches out her arms from the fairly long trip and then sighed softly.

"A knight? Hmm..."

She chuckles at some thought as she starts walking through the temple to the residential area, expecting Sara to follow behind her.

"I'm sure such a skill set will come in handy, though most of what we have to teach here will be non-combatitive, of course. I think it likely you will probably be with us a few weeks at the least, and while you'll be expected to pitch in, we'll try to make your stay a comfortable one."

Stopping outside a simple, plain door, she pushes it open to reveal a comfortably, but somewhat spartan bedroom with a chest and wardrobe for personal effects.

"This will be your quarters for now, meals are sounded by a bell three times a day. You'll be expected to attend to any duties in the morn, and attend evening lessons daily. Someone will be along after you've had some time to settle in to get you started. Any questions, dear?"

Bryanna arrives at the temple a few hours behind Sara, lurking quietly in hopes of catching the priestess for a private word before Sara goes too long into her stay. Bryanna carries a wrapped object with her that is long and cylindrical.

Sara returns a small smile and remained silent while she followed. She would unbuckle her equipment belt first and places it on the ground beside the bed. Looking around and then she would shake her head in return. "I think I will manage, ma'am." She murmurred - and once she was left alone. She would go through the trouble of settling in, storing her armor away for the while being inside of the chest along with most of her combat equipment. And she would dress herself in her usual comfortable and casual dresses but nothing as pretty as most that were worn around the temple. Once she'd effectively stored her belongings in the chest, she'd go out on a little bit of exploring.


For the while being, her visits to Bryanna are limited towards the less busy days where she keeps in touch but requests to spend some more time by herself.

She keeps a low profile, while actively seeking to assist the Temple in any way, but they would find that her opening up to them would take some effort as she finds herself becoming a little more guarded and worried about other matters.

And when she has spare time in the afternoon, she would go through the book that she was given by Laura and Victoria and studies it along with the delicately crafted healing kit that she was gifted by Victoria. Trying to fill her time in with as much activity as she can to keep herself occupied from unnecessary thoughts.

Mostly those in charge of seeing to the day to day running of the temple would Keep Sara occupied with simple chores, such as helping around the kitchen, sweeping the temple floors, weeding the flowerbeds, and other similar such efforts. After being given a few days to settle into the routine, Sara is approached by one of the younger priestesses, a quite fetching brunette dressed in what appears to be relatively simple robes, but stylized in such a way to emphasize the woman's natural beauty.

"Hello Sara~! My name is Esther, and I'll be your tutor for your stay with us."

She greets the swordswoman in a sing-song voice and smiles cheerily.

"Now, worship of Sune can be interpeted in all manner of ways by people, so, let's start with you. Why do you feel drawn to the Lady Firehair? What do you think of when her name is mentioned, and what do you think she wishes of you in this life? What do you hope to gain from following her ways?"

Sara's more casual wear is a slightly more worn brown checkered dress that is slitted by her hip on her left side. Matching shorts are worn underneath along with her usual favorite strap boots. Also matching shirt is worn above. She kept her rainbow colored hair neat but over time it was starting to lose it's magical fade and gradually her natural blonde would return to her. She always kept her hair neatly tied in a high ponytail with a necklace so that a symbol to Sune would sway from it.

She tended to be a little bit clumsy and perhaps a bit slow in new places, but she would gradually warm up to it and the people around her, finding some comfort in it. When she finally was approached she would return a nod to Ester and turn her full attention to her. Studying her in detail without trying to come across as creepy.

"I always find these questions difficult to answer." She sighs and lowers her head a little bit, falling in thought. She crosses her arms over her chest and puts a hand on her forhead. "I did not have a proper god to pray to before." She said, "But when I was learning of several dogmas, Sune's appealed to me the most." She tilts her head to the side and shifts her weight to one side.

"I feel that I am compatible with the faith without having to change who I am. Or how I feel. I find it hard to understand."

A brief shrug, "When her name is mentioned I feel pleasant, y'know..." She trails off. "I can only imagine what she must look like in the flesh. Most of the time I recite the dogma in my head, that's about it, I'd think... I think at a whim."

"And what I hope to gain from following her ways? Mmh... I don't really think I'm hoping to gain anything really other than to forget about the taint that haunts me." She idly fiddles with her fingers along her darkly tattooed skin.

"A girl by the name of Sara came here for guidance in your faith. I'm the one who has been overseeing her departure from the Tyrrant and her efforts towards becoming who she wants to be until now. I've brought you this," Bryanna hefts the bundle to Isabella, "to assist you in your work, and in hopes that you would be able to aid her with it as part of her work with you."

"It is her family's sword, forged and blessed by a Banite priest intended for Sara to wield upon following her family into the Zentilar. It is my hope that incorporating the purging of its taint will help Sara leave her past behind, but it is also my belief she needs to be part of the action to do so, elsewise she will gain no insights from the deed being done." Bryanna awaits the woman's reply.

Esther listens quietly to the swordswoman's words, taking a seat in a vacant chair and resting one hand atop the other in her lap as she occasionally gives a nod of encouragement. When Sara finishes, the young priestess smiles reassuringly.

"Thank you. I know it's not always easy to tell others your reasons for your choice in faith, it being so deeply personal an affair. You spoke of a taint that haunts you, and difficulties with faith in the past... Would you be comfortable telling me some of that story?"

Isabella's warm demeanor falters for just a moment as Bryanna relates the purpose and history of the presented sword, brow creasing just a little in thought. It soon passes however and she gives a small nod, reaching out to take the weapon though being careful to keep it covered.

"You've done a good thing in helping to set her on the path free of that one's chains, miss. We'll do our best to see that she feels welcomed among the faithful, and cherished as one of our Lady's flock."

Motioning a temple novice over, she hands the wrapped weapon over to them along with a few whispered instructions, the novice carrying the blade off to be stored somewhere for later examining.

"I make no promises that the sword can be restored, but I'll have our best and brightest examine it and determine what can be done, and we'll try and find a solution that would be amicable to Sara's wishes. I'll of course keep you informed of her progress during her stay, miss...?"

Sara would sigh deeply when she is confronted with the question and she would try to get off easy, trying to explain the gist of her story. "Ah, you see I hail from Damarra. My parents used to be a part of the Zhentarim. Or are." She shook her head, "I was never officially a part, I was sixteen when I left home after some trouble. I've been traveling for about two and a half years now, you see." She pauses and backtracks a little. Raising her arms to reveal her tattood arms. "My mother had these tattood on me when I was seven, old enough to hold my first sword. Part of a ritual along with the start of my training as a swords woman. From what others tell me, along with my current skillset, is that they're markings of being a warrior of darkness. ...Eh... not quite ideal I'd say."

"Kitara. Kitara Lovich. You can reach me at Ironhouse's halls," she surrenders the sword without a fuss, trusting the faithful of Sune to be above thieving. "Thank you for aiding Sara further, I dont know that I can lead her the rest of the down her path."

Sara Panthera may or may not have been witnessed leaving the Temple of Beauty after hearing that she'd slept through the attacks on Shadowdale. She was troubled by that fact and would not have been able to sleep.

She had taken her armor, some clothing, her sword and the necessary items for travel while leaving everything else behind at the temple.

If any investigations were made, she would have taken the Natalya's caravan as far north as possible but refused to say where she was going exactly. Sara did bring a map with her with a red dotted route on it.

// Perhaps Natalya would have seen the route she was taking, but I'll leave that up to any DM. If anyone is tracking Sara then Sara would be oblivious because she didn't try to hide her tracks nor does she have any knowledge how to.
