While the half-orc was trying to explain why what the zhents were doing were against their own explicit laws he was struck down quite easyly by one of the zhents then taken to their barraks where he was soon seen wobbling out looking terribly battered, beaten, torn, and ruined.*

What could you expect of a half - orc? too thick to keep out of trouble. Surprised he could even answer the Zhents back. He should have been impressed into the army as fodder.


Further away a rebel hears yet another report of Zhent brutality. It was so common his blood no longer boiled. One day, one day, they would be removed from the once-content vale of Shadowdale. Until then he hoped the beaten man would recover*
