| A single Black Hound has been seen around the Inn just at the gates of the city. He spends his nights either roaming the area that non-elves are allowed in, or quietly sitting with a single drink. Listening to the talk of the Inn. Rumors have been heard..but no proof of the Wardens. He wonders how to contact them, interested in learning more.
Any that look into his eyes, see a haunted man. When asked about what is wrong, he politely declines to speak on the matter. He is respectful to all that he speaks with, be it Guard or serving maid. He is careful to not break any laws of the city and has even offered to help patrol with the Guards.
(OOC Note: This is an open post to any that wish to join in. Rastafariel please see to the PM in your box.. thank you.)

| Tohrm might have overheard him talking about patrols, if he did then he would approach the man, probably sharing a drink and a talk first if he was agreeable to such, before going into any details.
"Look lad, I ain't no Defender but I kick the shite outta more Zhents an' other unwanteds, iff'n yer real feel like showin' e'erone where yer stand in this war, I's a good a start as any. Iff'n yer want t' jus' patrol the streets or grow flowers, be me guest... we gots plenty a those already."
If he had have noticed he was a Hound, based on any emblems, he would also add.
"I known some a yer lot a 'fore, got a good sword arm most a yer. Sometimes yer jus' gotta give it a bit a purpose, an' I mean more'n jus' gold."

"I known some a yer lot a 'fore, got a good sword arm most a yer. Sometimes yer jus' gotta give it a bit a purpose, an' I mean more'n jus' gold." Maurik would buy Tohrm a drink and talk openly. His cloak pin is the Black Hound head, on his cloak is the same hound..big as life and twice as strong. At his left side is a Katana made of a dark metal, on the other side a BIG nasty mace made of a red metal that looks to be rusted, but does not drop any copper dust. His Half Plate is blinding white and looks to be of something that is not steel.
"Where I stand in the war? Clearly you know of the group who's markings I wear, yes? I can provide more then a strong arm. I am a Cleric of Mystra!" Only then does any life seen to return to his eyes. "If I only cared for money, I would still be with the Hounds.. not here. But if I need to prove my worth.. so be it."
He reaches down picking up a shield that looks to be made of Dragon Scales. His long red hair is pulled back into a braided pony tail. Clearly to keep it out of the way in battle. Placing his helm on his head, in a practiced move. He looks toward the door, then back at Tohrm.
"Lead the way... but know this. I am a man of Honor. Should I feel that honor is in question or you are leading me to a trap. No walls, nor Army... or Deity will withstand my wraith. All debts of Honor and Vengeance.. will..be...repaid. Just so you know where we stand."
Maurik's green eyes flashed as he spoke the last. Tossing some coins to cover the drinks and walks toward the door. Looking back to see if Tohrm is following him as he steps outside.

| Tohrm raised an eyebrow at the mans apparent insistance to go out and do such.
"Well jus' so I's clear lad. Zhents, warlocks, undeath users, Fury followers, Drow, yer name it, 'em undesirables... we find one a 'em, we give 'em the easy way out, which's surrender... iff'n they nay run, then we lay 'em down fer 'em, savvy? Iff'n yer tryin' t' prove yer worth t' the Hounds, it'd nay do yer any good goin' t' figh' potential recruiters... iff'n yer want t' prove yerself t' the honest folk o' the Dales, I'll have yer along jus' gladly.
An' don't worry, I'm a man o' me word as well."
