Disaster at the Dancing Moon Empty
PostSubject: Disaster at the Dancing Moon   Disaster at the Dancing Moon EmptySun Oct 06, 2013 4:40 pm

Most of the staff at the Dancing Moon seems to be reacting to a most unfortunate event. One of the tunnels being excavated for the addition of a brewery seems to have collapsed. There is talk of several people being trapped inside, including Cadence.

The last anyone knew, she was inspecting the new construction area with a few others, and none of them have been seen since. Concern is clear amongst those working to free those trapped as some fear the worst. Crews work day and night, but so far, they've yet to reach anyone.

Caution is the utmost concern, for without knowing where amongst the rubble survivors might be, overzealous digging might prevent a successful rescue. The use of acid and disintegration spells have been forbidden, and anyone caught using them receives a quick boot out of the rescue zone.

Earth elementals have been ordered to move the debris quickly, but carefully, to prevent further collapses. Air elements are being sent in to try to scout out where the others are, but are ordered not to move into an area they don't think they can reach without disturbing the rubble too much.

Tension is high as workers race to rescue those trapped within before its too late!

On his way back from Fohgars funeral, he makes a stop at the Dancing Moon, doing so frequently as of late. Upon hearing the news, Vincent drops everything he had planned, making his way as swiftly as possible to help. Once he makes it to the site, Vincent offers anything he can to help find Cadence and the rest who are trapped, determination set upon his face. The man wouldn't rest nor hardly stop till they are found.

Mara is sitting in the Dancing Moon doing her research when she hears the rumbling.  She rushes to the noise and hears that Cadence and others are trapped.  Remember her own ordeal with the Oak she digs with her bare hands and what ever she can find.  Tears streaming down her face as she does.  She keeps calling out Cadences name and the names of the others. She would then send word to the Ironhouses with a messenger about what has happened.

Mark offers himself to do manual labour if needed be, meanwhile he just waits at his camp on top of the hill, quite angry (As always)
If they actually ask for his help he works non-stop, not talking with anyone at all.

Valtore arrives well after the Ironhouse party has started and most of the clan is drunk. His work with the "Travelers" in Myth Drannor having made him lose track of time. However he received the message about the Dancing Moon. He nods to the messanger and gives him the strongest drink the dwarves have to celebrate the passing of the Great Thane Fohgar. He then tosses the message in the fire and "forgets" it. The clan has other worries then helping drinking buddies of Zhents anyway.

He takes a bottle of Fohgar's favorite and sits quitely in the vault and drinks alone. He also takes to his pipe and the room is soon blanketed in a sweet smelling smoke while a gnomish music box plays. The candles flicker in the room.

Mara keeps digging next to Vincent since the dwarves have no need or want to help their friends in need. She looks to Vincent.

I sent a message to the Ironhouses...haven't heard from them. I was hoping that the new Thane would help his friends that were at Fohgar's funeral. Hopefully they will still come to help. But we will see. I'll send another one when I get a chance.

She keeps digging calling for a messenger to show up so she can dictate a letter to the Thane.

Even before the dust settles Hork is digging with inhuman ferocity with a single purpose to get to Cadence.

Aelyria after returning from training would walk normally to the Dancing Moon, smiling as she sees the familiar sight of the two waterfalls. Then she finally notices the commotion and her step changes to a run. At first she would frantically, and blindly help. She calms very soon, and does everything she can to assist.

Bel would be on hand to heal any of the injured, she seems extremely worried and would cast Bull's Strength spells on any of the laborers to help speed the progress.

Sariah offers herself and two helpers to help clear the rubble. She also offers to have food and drink brought in from freehaven, not knowing the status of the theatres own stores.

Vincent simply nods silently to Mara as he continues to work endlessly to do what he can to get those free. After some moments he looks over to her and speaks briefly.

"Also send word to Zidanja about the happenings here.."

After that, he quickly returns to his work.

She keeps digging only stopping long enough to send word by messenger to Shadowdale and to Zidanja as well as to Tae.

I'm not counting on the dwarves to even step foot here. I know your wife will and maybe Tae.

She stops to take a drink of water wiping her face smudging dirt over it. She offers water to Vincent.

Amar enters the Dancing Moon muttering and grumbling but stops mid-grumpling as he takes notice of the situation at hand, he rushes towards the collapsed tunnel and offers whatever help he can.

Celovar is seen making his way across the boat, well armed as he usually is and makes his way to where the disaster currently was. Any guards attempting to stop him are told to "Piss off" or "if you have a problem go get Tonan."

He begins evaluating the scene and looking over ways to aid. If they ask what he is doing there he gives little to no information.

When Justin hears the news, he too hurries to the Theater and begins doing whatever needs doing, from digging to carting away refuse to helping deliver food and drink to the other workers.

All the while, he is thinking to himself, "What happened?"

Foul smells and plentyfull moaning can be heard in the tunnels below.... rimwood. Its clear that a full days party left a lot of Ironhouse dwarves unable to move. Luckily the halls was not attacked at this hour, for there is no more furious enemy than a hangovered dwarf.

After learning from the messenger what has happened Zidanja quickly collects food and herbs for tea in a basket and makes her way to the theatre.
Once she entered the building she greets those gathered there with a smile and puts the basket on a table.

"Feel free to take from it whatever you need when you're hungry"

Then she makes her way to Vincent and Mara, looking questionly.

"You heard something new?"

Not waiting for an answer Zidanja takes a shovel and joins the attempt to set those who are burried free. While she looks much better then some weeks ago she has cleared not regained her old strenght back and so she takes a break every now then. Physically exhausted she sits down on a pile of rubble and catches her breath.

Smudging dirt across her face she looks to Zidanja.

We are making progress. I don't know if anyone is alive. We just have to keep digging. Others may need water and food...I'm fine I have to keep digging.

*Hearing the news from Aelyria in Myth Drannor, Trip works his way to Shadowdale to first check in with the House of Plenty and the other Deputies and Sherriff of the watch and makes his way to the Moon with Amatria and Kiki and asks the bartender where the collapse was and then goes to the scene to offer any aid they can... digging, healing, whatever it takes... Trip's mining skills are on par with your average dwarf.*

Hork continues to dig, intently and furiously removing any debris keeping him from the 2 most important people in his life. Not really caring where the debris lands.
