Jay would show up in two different occasions.

First, in the middle of the crisis, he would escort his mate to the roof garden for some unspecified reasons and only then would offer help lifting the heaviest rocks thanks to his inhuman strength. He would not stay more than one day, neither would he give comments about the people allegedly trapped inside.

Second, when all the people are getting retrieved and injured people being treated, he would offer to transport bodies upstairs, either dead or living, also inspiring and encouraging the job of the healers on the scene. If asked why he didn't stay all the time, he would simply say that he had a toothy business to solve elsewhere.

Once noticing his presence isn't needed, or hardly noticed he simply approaches his wife giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek. Then proceeds inside the Moon to get a quick meal and refreshing drink before preparing to make his return to Shadowdale.

Cleo prevails upon the Dancing Moon security guard named Justin Jarias to get him in to see Cadence.

At her bedside, he checks her linens and the condition of her recovery room. He then performs as thorough an examination as her minders will allow (heal skill bonus approx 26).

He then leaves right away, explaining to Justin that he will need to consult a few books before coming up with a diagnosis and recommending a treatment.

((( screen shots from Justin to follow. please pm me with what Cleo can discern about her current condition and possible treatment. )))

Mara is sitting by Cadence keeping a close watch on her. The priestess would be very watchful of who visits. She doesn't allow anyone but Tonan in til Cadence has recovered somewhat more.

Hork will back up any decision Mara makes on who will visit Cadence. Standing a constant vigil over her bedside.

Cleo, with the escort of the guard, would be allowed by Tonan to examine Cadence.

"Speak with Mara, maybe between the two of you, a treatment can be discovered." The tall warrior retreats to the bedside once more, dragging a chair over to sit in it. His naked blade rests across his knees, lips moving in quiet murmurings. He looks up as Cleo is about to leave, and glances between him and Mara. "Only you two and my sister Muirne, though. If we have a circus of doctors in here, I'll become a mite irritable and start removing body parts from any extraneous folks."

Bel would send Cadence a "Get Well" bouquet of various pretty flowers with a note attached.

I hope your recovery goes well, my heart and the hearts of all those at the Temple of Love and Beauty go out to you and all the others who suffered in the disaster.

With Love,
Bel

As things begin to settle, Justin approaches various appropriate people and offers his aid in investigating the causes of the disaster. The gist of his offers is "When an investigation begins, I am available as you need me."

Over the course of a few days, Cleo can be seen walking briskly into the Dancing Moon and into the upstairs chambers. He carries an almost comically large tome called "Advanced Diagnostics" in one arm and dozens of neatly cut, straightened hand-lengths of copper wiring in the other.

He stays upstairs for hours, and leaves red-eyed, his hair a mess, his face pallid. Sometimes, he has a glass or two of milk, then returns upstairs. Sometimes he takes up his book and walks down the hill toward the boat, eyes down, muttering a bit to himself.

Bel finds a moment to stop Cleo. "Honey what's wrong? You look like you haven't slept in days."

Smiling to see Bel, Cleo pulls her aside and speaks in hushed tones.
