Neer'yl meet up Zin and Vindyr in the Old Ilythiiri Camp. After the guards are there alerted to keep watch of in particular the portal in the Crystal Cave against undead invasions, the party make the long way back to Szith-Morcane. At the Lake of Shadows, the party stop by he Southeastern section of the area and discuss possible routes to the lair of the fabled Shadow Dragon, and how to further explore the Lake with the help of the kuo-toa, by force or by more diplomatic means. Other speculations arise, for example if the waterfall is the end of the river that leads to Vornouth's Mire...

Back in Szith, the sargtlin are urged by Yathrin Neer'yl to keep a close watch at the entry points to the outpost: the Mushroom forest, the Battled Tunnels, the tunnels that lead to Freehaven and the chasm of Szith itself, should anything manage hostile to crawl up from there. Neer’yl creates a wand of Detect Undead (50 charges) and gives it to Vindyr for use himself, and then to pass off to the Sargtlin keeping Watch in Szith.

| A bored mage makes a garden of statues in the mushroom forest Perhaps drawn by the petrification of its offspring something larger emerges from the forest and another statue is made for a time decorating the restarea near Szith before Quellar guards carry it off to become new decoration near either the Quellar Dabel'kith or the embassy. //sorry for the poor lighting the UD is very dark. | |

| From afar a peculiar scene could be sighted on Tier Breche - or was it so peculiar? An creature lied at the altar, awaiting to have its life removed by the eight-legged dagger. As the yathrin stood there, together with the high priestess watching the ceremony, a great spider was seen lingering on one of the Eyes of the statue of Lolth. The yathrin was seen lifting a dagger near her face, and the scene was followed by horrendous screams...

| Sargtlins of Qu'ellar Dabelkiths are seen heading toward the slaver check point under Freehaven, when asked what they do there they refuse to answer and just reply.. Go ask the Yath'allar..10 of them stay at the slaver check point all time and guard it alongside with the duergars and ilythiiri slaves guards. | |

| The Yath'tallar is seen coming upto the slavers checkpoint on the way up. She motions the one she had placed in charge to one side, and has a hushed but probably displeased conversation with him, with several gestures up the tunnel towards freehaven. After a few minutes of this she turns on her heels. "So get it done, usstan will naut repeat ussaself. Usstan expect regular reports upon the progress of the workers and the situation" She heads back down the tunnel, back into the underdark. //pm sent | |

| The North Gate of Szith-Morcane is still heavily garrisoned although the recent slew of attacks were finally thwarted when a brazen Yathrin from Qu'ellar Dabelkith waited for the shadowy being that had been decimating patrols to finally show itself before neatly blasting it back to the Abyss with the holy power of Lolth. Rumors persist that despite the Yathrin's victory a lot of the work was done by several outpost sargtlin and powerful nobles from both Qu'ellars and some shebali and rothe and slave fodder orcs who, after being chased out of the Lake of Shadows by a hoard of Kuo Toan and beasts from the lake, had to wade through the tunnels fending off schools of powerful Monitor warriors in defense of the Outpost. Guards watch the tunnels warily and golem accompanied patrols take extra caution when near the Lake of Shadows, but things seem even more quiet than usual despite the increased vigilance. Â Â Then a Web Golem is found smashed to pieces amongst another slaughtered patrol. | |

| Two noble drow find a huge spider in a cavern close to the cursed land under the hellball. The sargtlin Khârn had fought a heretic who defiled the spiders in the caves - the arrival of the great spider might be a sign of favour from Lolth for protecting this holy site. Thus the priestess and him decide to tend to the great orbb, and continue feeding it heretics, and other suitable flesh coming its way... - screenshots:

| Dabel'kith nobles are also often observed in Freehaven these cycles.
While he does not wear the bright red cape of the house sargtlin, the Head Assassin of House Dabel'kith is sometimes seen among the qu'ellar's soldiers speaking in hushed tones. A keen observer might also spot him perched menacingly on the roofs of Freehaven structures or scuttling weightlessly up the cavern walls like some demonic spider.

| The Duergar encampment continues to grow and the grey dwarves gradually dig in adding defenses and amenities. Despite the ruggedness of the area they fare well; travelers and traders are both able to move with relative ease despite a strange series if undead attacks. The camp itself remains unmolested by battle and the Duergar diligently patrol the route to the Upperdark, winning a few skirmishes with surface dwellers who's greed have led them into the Underdark and its shadowy dangers
After word of their success makes it to the Master Sargltin of Szith Morcane and eventually the U'lath'tellar, she herself sends word of her pleasure with the Duergar's efficiency and increases the autonomy of the encampment also sending them a small fortune of ore and coin and other materials to help along the construction.

| While in Szith Morcaine Dunkill Bitterspore and Adinara Dabel'kith heard rumours of two unusual Kua-Toa waylaying patrols in the Battled Tunnels. The Kua-Toa are both said to be fast but one of them is supposedly very fast while the other packs a punch. The two toads apparently even managed to smash a webgolemn. The guards are warning people against entering the battled tunnels until further notice, they are in the process of planning to set a trap/ambush for the toads. Adinara alerts House Dabel'kith of the events and then joins the guards in planning the trap.
//this is an underdark event started by DM FOE today, the event is until further notice scheduled to continue tomorrow around 7 AM CEST (FOE might correct the time) in the meantime feel free to join in on the trap-/ambush-planning and do some RP on it in this thread.
Edit: The quest was not continued at the scheduled time - not sure when it will be so there is still time to join in the planning.

| A gathering of drows and duergars was held in Szith Morcane. The meeting seemed to have been planned and brief schemes of capturing slaves from the surface took place. Shortly thereafter the group set off and was accompanied along their way by a two orcs and a masked humanoid.
The now formidable team of 8 underdark denizens made their way to the surface via the Tybold mine. From there they headed to an elven camp located in the cormanthyr forest. While in stealth they approached the camp whereupon they skirmished with elven scouts and caused the elven camp to come on high alert. Capturing a hated Daarthiri they quickly bound him and sent him back along the Tybold route on an elemental.
As the group began their journey back home they'd encounter a wounded human on the road. Seemingly allready beaten and with limited strength left he quickly succumbed to the duergar slavers who claimed the human.
Another encounter with a group of surfacers erupted shortly after along the road. Allthough after a brief exchange of words the surfacers fled the scene. As the team of denizens of the Underdark with the captured human tied up, gagged and dragged along, another human spotted the band of slavers. The surfacer downed a few potions and quickly engaged in battle in an attempt to free the slave. But it was all in vain for he was outnumbered and fell dead to the ground after a short and violent battle.
Much commotion occurred that day in the forest and along the road outside of the Tybold mine before the orcs, drows, duergars and the masked humanoid settled for the slaves they'd acquired.

| A trespasser was found in the tunnels beneath the Tybold mine. A patrolling duergar encountered the surfacer, a white haired elf wielding two blades. The duergar gave the elf two options, either to return to the surface or to face enslavement in the duergar encampment. As the elf had no desire to abide to what had been suggested the duergar leaped onto the elf with the axe swinging. Though in the heat of the battle the elf was killed. The body of the fallen surfacer was then dragged to the entrance of the Tybold mine and dumped by the gates. | |

| Word goes out from Arach-Tinilith that a rogue heretic Drow has the misfortune of coming into the Yath's sights. Reportedly named 'Zilvithras' a description and sketch of him is passed around Szith. The Yath'abban do not specify a reward but a boon is promised for him dead or alive. Warning is given that he may posses powerful magic including shape shifting and should be treated as extremely dangerous. | |

| After a long period of absence Uspir may be spotted back in the city and heading right into the Magic tower with a look of utter determination on her face.
Once inside the tower apparently she began to tear though the places look for all books about, or had mention to High Elven Magic, more in particular Mythrals that protected citys, like the one Myth Drannor had.
Hoping she might have at least some luck getting a clue where to look for more information if the books in the tower held no new information.

| Uspir finds precious little information in Szith-Morcane's libraries at Sorcere besides references to the war mythals of the ancient Vyshaantar empire that preceded the Crown Wars and the descent of the Dhaerow into Har'oloth. Some newer texts from the last few years however refer to Drow scouts encountering a wall of magical effect in Cormanthor; what essentially seems to be a barrier formed of High Magic. To someone studied in Mythals this might sound familiar. | |

| After reading up on the reports and coming to the conclusion that the best kind of research is field research Uspir would approach her fellow masters (npc and player) and ask would any of them be interested in join her for a field research trip to the surface, or if they are busy perhaps their apprentices would benefit from it.

It is rumoured that a Yathrin from Ched Nasad has taken up the gauntlet. She gloats in the future prospect of punishing this escaped heretic when the temple is done with him, unless some "misfortune" happens to him during the chase...

| It is announced by official sources of the Yath that on 18th Eleint, the rogue jaluk Zilvithras, who openly had challenged Neer'yl Dabel'kith, noble yathrin of Szith-Morcane, was gloriously murdered by the hands of that yathrin herself. Accompanying the hunt, and bearing witness to his final breaths, were a slim jaluk called Zin and a bloodthirsty duergar called Morak. Zilvithras's corpse was dragged to Szith and then defiled and burned. Unofficial rumours also claim that the jaluk had to be taken down many times before he gave in to his wounds. | |

| Neer'yl is summoned before the Ul'ath'tellar to be granted her boon. The two assisting her are instructed to send letters to Arach-Tinilith to collect their reward although it is made clear to them that the Ul'ath'tellar has no desire to see a male and a Duergar.
///Zin and Morak and Verin please send me a private message to request the nature of your reward. Neer'yl you has already made her request clear/

| During the last raid Clan Grimfell captured a human female and a surface dwarf. The female can be seen at the duergar encampment seemingly preoccupied for the most part tending to a bunch of chickens, feeding them with whatever insects she can find.
The dwarf is tied up in chains at the camp for the time being. But rumors says one of the Elders of Clan Grimfell have plans in store for the slave, plans involving construction of some sort of slave cage or pit.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Over at the duergar encampment the elder Murgal Grimfell can be seen walking around the camp while cursing and muttering underbreath as he rips down the posters.
"Whoevah made tha effort ta decorate our home with this shite is gunna pay... " He begins inquiring with the sentinels and other residing duergars if anyone's been witness to the culprit.
