A paladin in plain clothes speaks to the guards (ironhouse halls)

A letter would arrive, by the hand of a cloaked figure. The images on her face, Haggered, scarred, and ooze-filled scab, with the occasional wart here and there. She hands the Letter to the Ironhouse guards at the Main Door to the Halls, never entering. It is addressed for the Paladin, Sir Elric

To clarify... anyone entering the Halls would need to have their face visible in order to actually enter.

Next week I have Tuesday through Thursday free so this works for me.

The guard appears sword in hand looking to the Thane and Silphie Grimlee approaches offering a respectful bout the head to them.

Also I am waiting for two letters to be given to Elric, as "Hag faced figure" delivered them to the Guards at the Ironhouse halls. So yes, I will wait until you have continued your RP. Sitting at the bar he grumbles to himself "Tis not how it should end" pounding his fist on the bar he asks for a shot of whisky to-go and gulps it.

He would look to whomever has the sword and request to speak to them while if asked explaining to any guardsman that no curse works here that would cause foul play.

At the behest of the senior clergy, Cleo returns to the Dawnspire for an annual period of cloistered prayer and fasting. There, among many other prayers, he prays fervently for the safety and recovery of his brother.

Maura has been spending the last few hours tending to Emily. Upon hearing word that the destruction attempt on the sword was nigh, she would instruct the young tiefling girl to stay in her room until either her or Kalthanar told her it was safe to come out. The ginger-haired aasimar would head to the tavern to find Elric, only to discover him up and about, speaking to the Ironhouse guardsman.

"I'm glad I found you, Elric," she says with a warm smile as she approaches. "It's nearly time to see an end to your suffering."

Her words ring with optimism, but are underscored with a silent worry. The phrase meant not only to reassure her fellow aasimar, but also herself.

(( Emily is the tiefling girl (about age 10) that Maura and Kalthanar rescued from slavery and adopted a few months ago. They have been living in the Halls during that time. She was created by Vox and is described as having red skin, glowing eyes, a seemingly prehensile tail, and large horns (including nubs that hint she may grow more as she gets older). Most residents and frequent visitors of IH would/should know about her by now. ))

"Blessings upon thee priestess" he smiles warmly and nods "and yes it is time to end this wicked scheme. "

Valtore and others are gathered on the roof awaiting Silphie to cast the dangerous spell that will strip the sword of magic, knowing full well that if things go wrong it could sever her link to the weave as well. He admires the fair elven girl who some claim is evil and manipulative putting herself at such risk for a man whom in the past had treated her poorly. Yet still she is willing to take the risk. He stands ready should the spell work so he can take it below for destruction. The forge is prepared and ready.

Grimlee the Guard places the Sword down on a small table he had brought up before moving rather quickly away. "Ant rite this, this is wat appens when you dont buy Dwarven steel! Alrite should be ready when yee ready Silphie.... just dont blow us up...... or set fire to me bread... fact id rather been blown up, than be a beardless Dwarf..." Grimlee shudders at the idea.

He bows his head in thanks "By my honor sir dwarf. Tis has gone far enough. hither and  no further  shall i draw the line. "
"If it takes my life i will assure no other soul will suffer the same fate" he'd take the sword and places it in an empty scabbard

As Elric approached the table, Grimlee would step closer, as Elric came right next to the sword grimlee would place himself between the Sword on the table and Elric before looking up at him and saying. "Eeer lad, yee carried that thing long enough, yee just step on back and let us take care of this, yah have carried its burden, long enough lad." he would say kindly, yet in a firm tone of voice."

Sophia would be just leaving the Dock and walks past the Ironhouse Halls, picking some flowers

As Moves past the guard who seems to be to slow to stop him, and grasps the sword, A flash of darkness emits from the sword, the clouds over head, darken before a Bolt of black lightning flys down from the cloud hitting the Sword and Elric!

The Sword Disappears... and with it.... all that it has stolen... from the Paladin....
