My Lady Coronal,

One of the temple, Erthindia, has crafted a plan to frustrate Vhaeraunite operations.

We will be performing regular patrols in the Midwood and Starwood in order to seek out and harry Vhaeraunite patrols. Ideally, we will cause members of the patrol to flee in order to track them and learn their base of operations. Our force will be necessarily small, we currently do not require assistance in this matter. Please, however, make your patrols aware of the generalities so that they are aware of our goals should they see us.

If we do find one of their bases of operation, the information will be passed along to you immediately. Our ultimate goal is a combined strike on an important Vhaeraunite position.

My Lady Coronal,

With a recent misunderstanding between the Eilistraeens and the Black Archer's, I find it necessary to provide a list of our non Illithyri members. We simply did not expect conflict to arise over them. I still do not, especially with your Defenders, but it may be important for them to know, regardless.

These members are bound by our treaty just as our Illithyri members are, being full members, representatives, and residents of the temple.

My Lady Coronal,

As temporary Armathor, I think that You should recieve this information, rather than just my overseer in the Defenders. A Yuan-Ti by the name of Kiith Sobanii managed to slip past all our watchmen safely to sit by the fire in the Refugee Camp. She claims to be a Priestess of Sharess, and has yet to offer any threatening overtures, save when the diccusssion of killing all drow on sight was raised. She was agaisnt such - if this is good or bad is up for peple more knowledgable than I. I know that Yuan-ti are dangerous, and supposed to be immediately evicted... I cannot tell if she charmed the guards, or convinced them suitably of her good will. In either case, I have not raised alarm so as to make her more managable to apprehend if it is chosen to do so. She is a voluptuous woman, with golden scales on her skin, and a blue tongue. She wears a blue Hood, but no mask, and a breastplate. She claims to have hailed from Waterdeep.

I hope you will know what is best to be done with this knowledge, and will gladly carry out what orders you deem necessary.

I have heard enough of the drival and wish you to be aware of the words on the lips of those that dwell within your well defended city. The Ellistreans aside, the number of Drow sightings, drow attacks are on the rise. This bodes nothing good. The number of ears at my belt grow and still they come... something is afoot.

The number of people that speak to the redeemable quality of the drow, how their actions should be judged not their skin, and that Corelleon made a 'mistake' in the banishing after the Crown Wars and that our own religious texts state as much is appalling. The fact that the only people to speak to the contrary were humans and not kin makes this doubly so.

There have also been three occasions were people have reported drow attacks to others, this is purely heresy but fits with the pattern emerging, and nothing has been done. No finger lifted and those individuals have been berated for hate mongering and spreading fear.


Our order is based around the way of war, for we are always at war as is all our kin but I ask you with these three situations when looked together we have a clear cut instance of assault. Subtle slow and methodical, but it is assault all the same.

Drow rove freely on the surface because of the lack of resistance and fear. I can hear the interaction now... what its a drow? They haven't attacked? Quick get a drink and give them a hug they must be friendly. The dhearow know of this reaction and will use it to their advantage as they woo us into some false sense of security.

Then misinformation as stories spread of redeemable drow, them not being all that bad, looking to find shelter within the arms of the forgiving and on the list goes. Some rebuke it while others will listen.. take in and understand. They will embrace the idea and soon drow weaponry and hate will be met with a cup of warm tea, a pillow, and an invitation to a meal.

Reports going awry - further misinformation. If talk of drow attacks and their atrocities are not heard or are simply dismissed the misinformation grows and people are further brought under the sway of these lies.
I speak to the contrary, others speak to the contrary but my Coronal if all these events don’t speak to our state of slow, deliberate and subtle war I do not know what does.

What you were tortured to death, slain,, your throat cut, body mutilated by a Drow. Did you attack first?

I am greatly distressed by what I see happening in your city. And I believe that there must be numerous other elves here that are distressed by these things but are too intimidated to express their distress.

- the defenders sent out a recruitment letter that completely ignores the threat of the drow.

- the ranger corps sent out a letter in which they state that they will not accept any recruits that follow one of the Seledrine

- defenders and rangers refuse to accept any recruits that do not blindly agree with all of the policies

- the defenders flatly refuse to accept reports of drow attacks on elves. even treating people with contempt for making such a report.

- the defenders commonly ignore the presence of enemy drow on the surface very close to Myth Drannor. including frow that have been declared traitors by the so-called eilistreans and who have openly attacked elves


these are only a few of the things I have seen recently.

We are very well aware of what you have been saying and how you have performed in the times you have accompanied Our Akh'Velahr.

We are not quite sure why you wish to the join the Ahk'Velahr when you have undermined Us in your words so very clearly and are now attempting to undermine Our leader of the Ranger.

You are aware that the Head of the Rangers has sent Us a copy of each letter he sent you? We need people who do not twist the words of Our officers and sew dissension, for that is what you have done by misrepresenting his words in this way.

We suggest that if you truly follow the Seldarine, you have a long talk with the High Priestess in the Temple to the Seldarine and regain instruction in what loyalty, honesty and devotion to the values of the Tel'Quessir are. Until then we do not wish for troublemakers such as yourself in Our City.

I have made no attempts to undermine you or anyone.

as for the ranger, I simply repeated his words in my letter to you and I attached a copy so that you could see that they were his words. how is repeating his words undermining him?

are you saying that you think that elves are not allowed to disagree with any of your decisions?

even when you decide to make alliances with enemies that publicly state that they plan to murder your people? enemies that have openly attacked your people on multiple occasions?

are you saying that there is no room in the city for people who follow the will of one of the Seledrine such as the followers of Sheveresh?

what trouble have I made in your city?

when have I done anything disloyal or dishonest? when have I shown anything but devotion to the values of the Tel'Quessir?

This woman who deserted the Defenders, who spreads rumours and tries to lie in her actions and words, is no longer worth bothering with. She leaves instructions that all correspondance from this woman is not to be bothered with.


It is always a pity when you see an elf who is more like a follower of Shar than of the Seldarine*

i have invited only the few eilistraee followers i trust the most to the wedding which include
maya, eily, ari, ily, and mith. i dont expect them all to show up and i understand why.. and tho i know ari who is ariyana is stilled barred from our city and camp i wish to ask you to ither lift that this once and allow her to be there if she wishes or to allow her access like the others..

i under stand why she was barred and i leave it to you to decide either way or not to i apprciate you atleast giving it some thought and you have my thanks m'lady..

Tonight in the beastmen's forest, there was an attack by unmarked Drow. No holy symbols, no tattoos, nothing to show thier allegiance save the presence of spiders and the violence of thier attack. Males and Females made up the group, and they orginated from the deeper reaches of the Beastmen's lands.

The women Ariyana is a known Eilistreeian though she is not permitted entrance to Myth Drannor to my knowledge.
I would not be alarmed and knowing both of them I would wager they only wanted to keep you out of harms way. You are the only one I know of who have thrown axes at Ariyana and lived to tell about it, that in itself gives me asurence that their plans should not be cause of alarm, but I will run over the incedence with Shan'in of Ariyana, who ever I meet first, in order to clearify the matter.

You vigilance is noted how-ever.
