Rimwood buildingsite

*for those travelling through Rimwood often they would these days find dwarves occationally surfacing and gathering while drawing on blank scrolls. Some the dwarves clearly beeign from Ironhouse and others mostly unknown to the dales. Also a few "longeleggers" spotted making drawings and writing notes while walking around in the terrain.*

Today the dwarves of Ironhouse met for the first true work in the progress of reshaping Rimwood. A large rock at the side of the hill was decided to be tilt as the socket was going to be part of the future entrance and the stone removed used for reinforcement and dsign details.

first part was to undermined the huge rock which be dwarven tradition was started with shovels.

After diggin for a long day, several bottels of ales of refreshment emptied, they still ahd gone no much further.

Decisions was made to invest in to potions of shapechange and then the work truely took speed. One dwarf fully manaded to become a usefull Irongolem but the brewmaster Thorein of clan could stopped thinking about liqueds and ended up an Orglash instead of a Irongolem. With small modifications to teh plan, the Orglash did prove usefull anyhow.

After hours of pushing and digging, desperate meassure was taken into considereation, and for the first time in ages a flying Iron golem could be seen ramming the rock to tilt it as he jumped from the sacred hill. since first few attempts was unsuccesfull, several more was was made repeatedly....

Dithar heads to the surface with about a dozen workers, each equipped with chisels and hammers, and a few dwarfs carrying barrels of ale.

"Roight lads, we need t' start cuttin' up this here rock int' bricks so we can start buildin'. We've got plenty er ale an' plenty er work, so le's get started an' put our moighty dwarven craftsmanship t' work!"

He then starts instructing the workers where to start, on which sections of the rock, and where to stack them up.

Koro Ironhouse would offer to help out aswell

Ah beh willin tae 'elp yeh. Ah nay beh great crafta buh ah beh good fer breakin blocks, jes point meh where yeh whan meh tae cut

Dithar smiles and nods to Koro
"Excellent lad, jus' start smashin' tha rock int' more manageable soizes, an' grab yerself a few mugs er ale whoilst yer at it."

Targlan does his dayly round watching over the rimwood consrtuctions. Happy to ahve received work that the elves accepted his proposal, new additions to the plan are beeing made,

*Eilcaryn Moonshadow would be seen occasionally in rimwood watching them work and offer healings to lesser injuries if they occurred. If she happened opon Grendel she would attempt to engage in smalltalk with him about dwarven history, culture, and religion. She would seem to enjoy the conversation with him.*

From one moment to another, suddenly all dwarves are ordered back to the ahlls almost leaving their tools back in Rimwood. Rumours soon spread that a large anchor and lift is to be constructed with greatest haste and they will eb workign all hours of the day in shifts until it is done

Bryanna arrives to assist as promised, though she stays away from the areas of construction and most readily steps in to bring water to the workers or other low-skill lighter-lifting activities as such. If assigned to more physical tasks the dwarves would likely find her performance lackluster.

As the days of construction wear on and Bryanna is only to make brief visits now and then to assist with the effort she begins trying to make each visit a bit more helpful. Her most recent visit being accompanied with the arrival of a butchered cow and two pigs. The construction of a very large fire pit and a large array of different sauces being prepared while the meat slow cooks. The wafting smells of barbeque filling the work area most of the day until a about an hour before dusk when she finally begins serving platters of meat with all manner of different sauces and potatoes to any and all takers.

Bryanna stops by the construction site to check on the progress.

Once again she sets up and prepares a meal for the workers, this time the affair is a simple roast affair. Beef cooked medium rare and sliced down served with horseradish and garlic potatoes.

Valtore is a bit further from the main Hall entrance with a few dwarves given to him by the Thane. They are excavating the small hill there and building high walls. He has plans layed out for a small enclosed area, they cleared a circular area in the middle for something. His dog Werepuppie runs around the workers playfully. Valtore talks to the master builder Thane Targlan sent over before gathering his things and once more heading to Shadowdale to craft more maces.

Nadin walks around checking how advances the building, he adresses any engineers regarding if adaptations to elven defense style were already included in the original project, and even ask to see the changes in the project itself, he confirms if there is enough of all materials, and if not the case, how much more of each are necessary, and finally the Keeper adresses Niilaa Thenduil Thalast´of the Akh'Velahr.

Nilaa, I would like to receive in my desk a report regarding security incidents, whatever more you think you may need and reasons, and anything you think relevant to report.

A large Iron Golem (designation: SUX-2BU) is now patroling the construction site. It responds directly to Valtore's orders. At times it aids the dwarves in moving large stone blocks or holding up things. Very basic things at best. Most of the time it walks from the tower past the new entrance to the docks and back again. It's orders are to protect the sites and attack any Drow or Orcs it finds.

Thogar comes up from the temple to Bless the workers in the holy name of Gorm Gulthyn and drops off a huge barrel of freshly made Bacon Ale

Once more the dwarves are busy at work in Rimwood. This time inside of the Halls themselves. Thane Valtore is waling around with plans and talks at length with verious memeber of the Clan. Often times he talks about maing room for traders or wanting to impress while tightening security after recent attacks with in the Halls. A large number of dwarves are seen removing the Dragon's head...

ahh valtore my friend.. would it be possible to get a scale and vile of blood from this dragon?

if so and if not to much trouble could i get those from you? i have no idea why i bother but i like having samples of the dragons killed around here and any info pertaining to them.. if you have any that is..

he looks around at the work going on..

"Aye Lord Blue. We have some in tha vaults. I can send someone ta retrieve it for ye. Think nothin of it. Oh..Silphie asked ta meet ye when ye have time. She is likely in tha library or wonderin about." He smiles a bit, "thins are progressing well." He then turns to watch them move the head once more.

sure if ye dont mind. while i wait ill go see silphie see how she is doing..

aye it is progressing nicely.. ill have to mark my plot of land soon so it doesnt get built on with out me knowledge..

oh i promised the old thane a plaque at the tower in dwarven translated in common and elven he never did tell me what he wanted it to say.. since he donated 100,000 gold to its building..

so if you wouldnt mind could you write something in dwarven and common or elven and ill place it in the tower or out side on a plaque..

once done talking to valtore he would go looking for silphie..

Silphie could be found padding around bare footed in the library with Stevie at her heels, paging through random books, enjoying the quiet.

blue sneaks into the room and hits a bell then hides it quickly as he waits for her to turn around..

he grins wide pretending to know nothing about a bell..
