- Nykeryns, we start our march immediately, against us we have time. First we need make great use of the light of the day as our enemy is more vulnerable, and second we have no time to waste to help our brothers in arms. So, let us move at once.

with a cheer at the Keepers speech, the Akh´Velahr begin breaking their camps with practiced efficiency and gather in their troop formations. They follow the lead of the keeper and march down the North Ride. Saluting their dwarven allies in passing.

Bryanna's direction for the workers had been a little more complicated than simply dousing the fill in holy water. She did her best working with them once the fills were ready to be sealed in to sink hollow tubes into them. Prior to paving over said tubes, she worked with the dwarves to fill the tubes with holy water. She actually seemed rather proud and happy of the idea, no matter how idiotic it might seem to the dwarves... rather convinced that the holy water in tubes would help interfere with spectral undead passing through the walls.

"They'll be in for such a surprised when they try to just pass through and get caught by that holy water... now we just need to figure out a solution for the flying ones."

Valtore would have a large collection of dwarven, elven, human, and hin construction methods. He may have some books on Yuan-ti but those are not so much descriptions of methods and more likely examinations of structures that had been found as the race is so secretive.

As for the building in Rimwood, they were just building some walls and towers to guard the main gate. In the months that had pasted they may be finished (would need dm confirmation).

Not having found anything in the library on the Lich and concerned about his kin in the battle Valtore finally gives up his research in disgust. He goes out and inspects the walls that his kin have worked on for months now. No doubt it is not completed. He walks the walls looking for flaws. The defense of the halls should be ready for drow or undead attack. He then heads in to see Storm on how the golem construction tion is going.

With the coming of the spring rains Bryanna is found working a number of dwarfs at Ironhouse. They carefully stack a low wall of sandbags around the entrance to the Halls in an effort to keep the steep stone surface from turning into a cascade as drainage is dug.

She looks at the walls forming around the Halls and daydreams occasionally of the strength and security that will be displayed once the construction is completed and the finishing touches put to place. Her daydreams don't last long though, between the shovel and mattock work or the hauling of the bags.

Kitara is soon found in the boar caves, gathering the plants but rather than just harvesting them she seems to be carefully collecting the plants which exhibit Valtore's favorite properties and transferring them to lay pots. She seems to be very exacting, perhaps only taking one out of fifty plants to start the next generation for the Thane.

After completing work on and near their entrance and taking time to plan and build elsewhere, the dwarven workers are back in Rimwood. In the meantime, the Elves have continued their fortification of ever-important dock that brings trade to and from Myth Drannor, both parties helping each other out with their work.

As the dwarves begin surveying, planning, and marking out their next phase of construction, a group of elven workers takes notice. After some discussion, and some consultation of maps and blueprints, one of the gold elven engineers approaches the dwarven team.

"So what is happening here, this does not conform to the plans we got?" he asks.

Than Valtore is busy and only refers any questions he is asked by any elves to talk to Keeper Nadin about the discussion he had with him about not wanting to wall off half of Rimwood or turn the Halls into just being subservient to Myth Drannor. Because they happen to live under an elven stronghold. He sends the new Ambassador to Myth Drannor, Dame Bryanna, to talk to them.

The walls, which were begun long before any dwarf left for Shadowdale or to help the Lyons, were only to enclose the front door of the Halls as extra defense against the Undead. Having talked to the Druid Circle he did not want to make to much of an impact on nature, nor disrupt trade to either the Halls or Myth Drannor.

A dwarf comes out to speak to one of the elves.

"Thane says ye best talk ta tha Keeper. Said they had a discussion er some sort. He said he wanted Dame Bryanna ta come talk to ya about it all, but she be away right now aidin in tha defense 'gainst tha Undeaders. I be sure ta refer her yer way when she be back, tho'. Dunnae when she be gettin back, but tha' acceptable?"

With a look of minor vexation, the gold elven foreman turns to his assistant. "Have a messenger sent back to the City. Tell them that there is no dwarf in authority here willing to discuss their construction projects. Send our apologies to the esteemed Keeper for bothering him with this, but ask him to send any ideas or agreements set forth by the Dwarves for construction here in Rimwood."

He turns back to the dwarves. "In the meantime, we could move this along without bothering our superiors. In the spirit of cooperation, may we please see your plans for construction?"

The dwarf looks a bit uncomfortable at the foreman's words to his assistant. When the foreman turns back to him, he gives a nod. "Aye, I kin do tha. Just uh...gimme a moment er two, aye?" He scurries back to the Ironhouse Halls to find the Thane so he can get a copy of the build plans.

When the dwarf approaches the Thane, who is surrounded by piles of books on various elven legends and what not, he tells the dwarf to visit the room of records which has all the different plans and blue prints in it. He is welcome to bring the elf there to look things over. At one time the idea was to make a massive wall along the river with guard posts for elves all long it. But those plans were abandoned when an agreement could not be reached over who had authority over the area. The elves be lived they could puck and choose who would be able to enter the halls. It was even once suggestions y a certain elf that if Lady Silphie were to set four outside the front gate she could be arrested by the elven guards. We are dwarves. We willna have others tell us who can and can not enter our Halls.

The dwarf listens to what Valtore says, then nods to him. "Sure thing, Thane. I'll get tha plans and relay what ye said."

With that, he heads to the room of records and grabs all of the plans he can find before making his way back to the Elf. Handing over the rolled up various parchments and blueprints, he clears his throat and relays to the foreman what the Thane said.

The gold elven foreman writes everything down, then takes time to leaf through the various plans. "Very creative... and big."  he dryly states. "Which one did you settle on,  then? Or do you intend to build them all? And when did you intent to inform your allies about this?" he keeps his expression neutral and without emotion.

The dwarf furrows his bushy brows and straightens up, looking a bit offended at the elf's words. "I be thinkin these last ones were tha' good ones, but tha Thane be tha best ta ask about it. I jes be a werker. Ain't no need ta get all snippy with me, lad." He folds his arms in a defensive manner.

"Really think yer boss an' my boss needin ta meet an' talk this out."

The gold raises an eyebrow at the defiant gesture of the Dwarf, nods slightly and before turning around to leave, says to him:

"Indeed, it seems that is needed."

Having reached the end off all of his research, all ending in nothing of value being discovered, the gold run out for his latest project and the Mithral in Storm's capable hands...Thane Valtore has nothing new to occupy his time. So he gathers a large supply of his special smoking herbs and heads out on the roads on "patrol". He tells the guards..

"Let Dame Bryanna know that somethin crawled up tha butt of tha elves again and they are buggin us about tha forest and their outpost we are supposed ta build. I be goin fur a stroll."

With that he heads out into the night.

The elven builders and druids would take care only to remove the building materials provided by them in the first place, which involves all wooden materials, unless stopped. Some dwarves would protest and stomp of angrily and curse.

The joint patrols in the area seem to be no more as the Akh´Velahr soldiers retreat towards the river..
while showing more presence around the docks, fully armed.

From a distance in the recesses of trees, the Arch Druidess observes with folded arms and a furrowed brow for an extended period of time, contemplating the movements of the elves, as well as the dwarves and their comrades.
